Continues to hitch and freeze during autosave moments, in particular when identifying items or during heavy gameplay or entering new zones.
Freeze is so long you can visibly read the code validation message popping up and occurring above Cain’s head when you are ID’ing with him (but also occurs during manual IDing too).
This isn’t just an ID issue though.
It occurs nonstop as the game AutoSaves in various ways.
Have tried:
- Reinstallation
- Fresh Game / Fresh PS Profile / Fresh Character with No Saved Data/Storage History
- Console Software Updates/Cache Clears
- Console Database Repairs and Rebuilds
- Using A Separate Console
- PS4 & PS5 Versions of the Game
- DLC and Non-DLC Characters
- Removing All Loot Filter Settings
- Running PS on Performance Mode Default (and Running PS5 Game on Performance Mode inside the D2R In-Game Settings)
- Disabling VRR and/or 120hz Refreshing
- Disabling HDCP
- Swapping Between Legacy Settings that affect Zoom of D2R Graphics
- Every possible combination of video settings in-game
- Anything else you could possibly think of ever outside of actually fixing the game code myself which I don’t have access to but Blizzard does and can address…

I have, for whatever reason, played only d2r offline on ps5 pro since august last year, no other games, no other platforms.
Over 1000 hours.
The only video game related thing I care about is that they fix this.
And when thats done, look at the controller menu scheme(crafting is tedious etc). The name/hp bar above monsters popping around is visually a bad design and obstructs animation.
The game is a masterpiece and deserves to be treated fairly, so does the player base.

I’ve been playing Diablo 2 Resurrected since launch, and it’s been running great!
After purchasing the Watlock DLC, the game started randomly lagging for 1 second every minute. This makes the game very difficult to play.
However, the latest update caused constant stuttering! The screen goes black, and graphical artifacts appear! It’s unplayable!
The problem affects both the On-Line and Off-Line games. Off-Line seems to have more stutters! I play on a PS5 Pro, but my friends are having the same issues on a standard PS5 and Xbox!
Please fix this.
EDIT:
I’ve tried playing with VRR enabled, with VRR disabled, and with the internet cable disconnected, but it doesn’t help. The game is at fault!
