Game not allowing keyboard or contoler input

I guess this is the only option I have left since support has been less than helpful.

I recently purchased the new Wraith of the Warlock off the battlenet launcher for my pc. Ever since, my game does not allow me to use my keyboard to make any kind of imput. I cannot create new characters, cannot enter names to create games for multiplayer, I cannot even get the tab key to display the map or hold shift to stay in place.

I have several keyboards that I have tried and made sure to update their drivers. I even plugged an old MadCat 360 controler into the PC and the game did not register that input either.

I had someone remote into my pc from a completely different city and they were able to enter text and function normally. I have seen the recommended forum about changing key bindings but how can you do that if it doesnt take commands from the keyboard at all? Any help to get the game working on my pc again would be fantastic.

If this only effects the game itself, maybe the games settings are corrupted. Check your user profile for a folder called ”Saved Games”/”Diablo II Resurrected”. There should be a file called “settings.json”. Rename or move it away, then launch the game. It should recreate the file with everything reset to default.

Alternate option: try with a new / differenc user account.

Unfortunatly, I do not see the mentioned file in the Diablo II Resurrected folder. I have tried logging in with a different account on the pc and it still does not allow me to use the keyboard. There are two text documents that appear to have been updated today but other than that I do not see any .json files.

I see you checked out C:\“Programs”/”Diablo II Resurrected”.

The json file i mentioned is located at C:\“Users”\””\”Saved Games”/”Diablo II Resurrected”.

Yet since another user did not solve the issue i doubt renaming and rebuilding that file will help, since login in with a different user did just that for that user ..

One last straw before i’m out of ideas: are you playing on a laptop or a system with a mobile CPU? There was an issue with them a while back forcing players into the games mobile mode. There was also a workaround for this AFAIR. Search this forum, you’ll sure find it here.

I went back and tried to delete the files from the location you mentioned. no luck. I think I will do a fresh install of windows to see if that helps. I really dont want to have to buy or build a new computer just because I bought an expansion…
