AVX Issues / Game Launches, then Crashes on Older Processors (CPU)

(THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED. YOU MAY NEED TO UPDATE YOUR GAME. IF YOU STILL HAVE ISSUES YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT PROBLEM AND WILL NEED TO TROUBLESHOOT FURTHER, PERHAPS WITH THE HELP OF THE LINKS DRAKULOTH HAS LISTED BELOW.
tHANK YOU EVERYONE. SEE YOU IN GAME!!)
press play, it says launching, then now playing, then back to play. no launch.

UPDATE: This seems to be getting patched later today, or early tomorrow.

Thank you everyone who helped figure out the problem

Edited by Blizzard - fixed system requirements link.

Update2: They now believe they wont have a fix until Monday.

Also, this is the “AVX” problem, to be clear.

Also, the patch they released was not a fix for this, rather another issue, but it did effect what happens when we, with this avx issue, press play; we now get a black screen for a second and then an error.

2 posts were split to a new topic: Can’t click “Play” button - This Game Cannot Be Played Yet

Scan complete. No issues. Still will not launch. See .exe running in Task Manager for a few seconds then vanishes.

Same problem on an I7-950 with a GTX 1060. Does the game need AVX support because I had this same problem before with another remaster.
