Same thing, Game has crashed. The computer works as loud as before. The temperatures are around 65C. Most of those crashes happen in The Throne Room, but i’ve encountered them in other areas too.
What’re you using to gauge the temps?
I’m using MSI afterburner.
Okay, that might be part of the problem. I recommend grabbing a copy of HWMonitor and checking the temps with that. MSI is just showing you a recent average.
Ok, will try that. And what temperature would be indicative of overheating?
You would want to look up the throttle temps for your card. Max is usually just 100C, but throttles can be in the late 70s and early 80s for many nVidia options.
I have the program running, and I’m playing the game to test. Will report in a few minutes.
Well, you can’t respond to yourself in the forum unless you have a higher trust level. So I’m adding this (but do keep that in mind).
The game has crashed again. Max temperature was 71C.
do you have vsync on or off?
what are you capping framerate at?
I have Vsync on. I cap framerate at 90 and 60.
ok sounds good. Try checking with your card manufacturer and see if you have firmware update and vbios updates for your card, that’s another thing I did.
I also set my gpu fans to a more aggressive setting.
don’t know what your graphics settings are on, but if you have it all very high, try going to high maybe as well.
don’t know what else you can do until they patch this game, but doing stuff I mentioned worked to keep me from crashing so frequently.
Can you create an MsInfo, basically the same way you made a DxDiag, and paste the Error Reporting section here?
Start > MSinfo > File > Export > Save as txt.
Again, just the error reporting at the end (ctrl F “error report” to see where it starts), it will all be way too long for the post limit.
You want me to include all the dates of the errors?
No, we would want the full error text, on all dates between now and this last Friday when it launched.

There’s nothing else? Even errors that don’t look related to D2R between now and Friday?
Yes those are the only ones for some reason. I have pre Friday errors with D2Vidtest from original diablo. But only 2 errors since Friday, and they are D2R related.
If i recall correctly, I had few crashed before probably 2 of them but those crashes had a error dialog box. They didn’t just crash to the desktop without anything as the problems i’ve been experiencing recently.
This thread is getting a little crowded with some troubleshooting methods unrelated to the core issue, so I apologize if you answered this, but have you done a scan and repair on the game?
