FIX AVX, Dont silence us

bruh it DID work in the beta and they themselves literally said that AVX is not necessary for running the game. The Age of Empires IV beta has the AVX requirement, it kicks you out of the game and tells you it is needed to run it, no issue there for me but adding it AFTER the beta and then scrambling to fix it afterwards is something a bit different

I absoluetly get your point, they messed up this release on many levels.

My point is AVX is a 10 year old instruction set and if your CPU doesn’t support it, then it’s seriously outdated.

Maybe enough for you, but you can’t expect an iPhone 3s to work with the latest apps which is more or less from the same era as pre-AVX CPUs.

Hi bro,
I have a LGA1366 pc with dual Xeon which offers enough performance and I have played D2R very well in beta, so it is very disappointed for me to face crashes again and again only because they added the avx as MUST HAVE.

Not having AVX does not mean you have an outdated CPU.
IntelÂŽ PentiumÂŽ Gold-Processor G6600 (launched 2020) does not support AVX, just as an example.

The point here is having a hidden requirement that is not declared. The min spec page and recommended doesn’t say anything about CPU extension support. Would have saved me over 100$ since other games did the same garbage of adding this requirement silently. On top of it not being a requirement. AVX won’t make or break performance/stability of D2R.
