Whenever I press play for Diablo, two on the battle net launcher, the game does not launch. Is there any fix for this? Ever since the update has been done I haven’t been able to launch the game
Hey, I have been having this problem recently. A partial fix for me has been to go to the program filesx86 folder for d2r and deleting the data folder (it’s big). Maybe it’ll ask if you want to delete it permanently, go ahead, it doesn’t matter.
Then open up the blizz launcher and go to d2r, hit the gearbox, do scan/repair and it’ll redownload the data folder.
After doing that my game launches. Although eventually the problem occurs, and I have to repeat the process to make it work again.
Deleting only the .IDX files is enough. Scan and repair will then re-download missing / corrupted data files and rebuild the .IDS files.
When this happens / is needed several times, your file system might be corrupted too. Run “chkdsk /f” and reboot to fix it.
