Having the same problems. I’ve been waiting for about 12 hours…I can’t create any games with new characters either.
we don’t know, if you read this thread, some ppl have their charater bugged for more that 15hours, so hope you will get lucky and your char won’t roll back. character bug so it’s not affecting everybody, that is why some can play. like my frineds…xd
I also have the same problem. I paid money but I can’t play!!!

Same issue happening to me… took the day off… played for 1 hour this morning now I cannot play anymore. Please reset the server…
I finally got to the point where I was enjoying the game. I grinded all day and all night long so that I could finally step into Hell and face Diablo and Baal head on. After many months of planning my exact strategy, D2R finally released. I was there… entering the Chaos Sanctuary, slaying demons left and right until suddenly… I encountered something unfamiliar to me. Something I have never seen before since I first started playing 20 years ago… A DISCONNECT AND A MESSAGE SAYING “FAILED TO ENTER GAME. THIS CHARACTER IS ALREADY IN A GAME ON THE SERVER. PLEASE TRY AGAIN.” As I try again and again and again, wishing I could for once, trust a blizzard error message, nothing is happening. I am stuck in the void. I have been clicking play constantly without stopping for 3 hours straight… yet… nothing…

Need to hurry up and do something…the lobby chat is getting nastier then usual.
They probably have to do another emergency maintenance to fix this. Last update was an hour ago on Twitter saying they’re aware of the issue.
I would not try it whitout confirmation from Blizz

Now add having taken off work and prepared to play with friends just so that you alone cannot play - while the rest can.
Been locked out twice now and for over 17 hours straight 
I am very salty and frustrated and almost happy that it hit many people now, so that blizzard is going to stop ignoring the problem and actually fixing it…
We really need a permanent fix here - and quick…

at least they are working on it, but man why they didn’t deal with this in the beta. even if they solve it, this just leaves a bad mouthfeel.
so turned off by this game now…legit rushed through the game for nothing…stuck for 20 hours watching everyone pass me now im behind EVERYONE…debating on a refund either way definitely done with this company, not going to subject my self to this again for d4
If they periodically just rebooted the realm servers we would be okay while they fix this stuff.

It will be fixed when the devs feel like restarting the servers.
Remember when Diablo 2 had horrible connection issues. Neither do I.
Only from making too many games too fast and getting flagged.
I took off work and I rented out a movie theater for the weekend so I could play fully immersed… but I can’t even play now. Waste of time and money…
