Am I doing something wrong. I am farming Baal to get his Essence of Destruction so I can respec my zon. But he is not dropping any. The other bosses drop their essences all the time, feels like almost every run (I stop picking them up a while ago, but Baal I have been running him for the last hour and a half and nothing (not to mention running him at various times other days and on other toons). Is this just really bad luck or are the other bosses bugged and dropping too many?
I have also found 0 off of Baal but several of each of the others.
Bad luck. It takes a while sometimes. I know the pain cause I like to change things up on my hybrid sorc, so I’m always farming them.
This is getting ridiculous. I have farmed Baal for the last 2 hours and no essence. I decide to take a break jump on my hammerdin in and pop into the chaos sanctuary and another essence drops. Seriously I feel like every time I kill Diablo he drops and essence but Baal never drops one. I get random but one of these things is not like the other.

TBH similar experience myself. Gone 100+ runs before with no drops from him.

Well, its official. Ber runes drop more often then the stupid essence.

Keep at it… Next 10 runs youll get 5… happens like that sometimes.

I’ve gotten tons. Very rarely get the Diablo variant. It’s just RNG.

I killed Baal 15 times and got 3 essences…just how it goes.
If you really want the stupid essences, or I guess Tokens, then you can trade that Ber rune for like…idk how many tokens, but more than you could ever need. If Ber runes truly drop more often for you than the stupid essences…
when i farmed them way back like 3 months ago. i was getting 1 out of every 20 runs. give or take a few runs
you can reset you skills unlimited in single players, before launching the game click the cog then go to game setting. open the daiblo 2 tab. go down to “additional command line augments” check it and type -enablerespec when in game hold alt and left click a stat, it resets all your stats and skill.
Even if I wanted to, I am an offline player. But I was being sarcastic though I did run Baal for 5 straight hours before picking up an essence.
