Drop rates nerfed?

So did drop rates get nerfed this season? Like not even crappy uniques are really drop and pretty rare to see if anything other than yellows drop at all. I’ve been grinding almost all day with little breaks the last 2 days and nothing is really dropping at all

Drop rates (beyond Terror Zones) should be unaffected. It’s just poor RNG. It happens, sometimes.

The thing with dice is they are completely random.

The more items in the table the more “sides” the dice has.

You can roll a simple d6 on your desk right now, pick a number, and it could many times more than 6 rolls to get that number. Technically in the realm of possibility you could never roll that number again (Though unbelievably unlikely)

Now imagine a 2.5 million sided dice.

I’m sure that’s not how the loot table looks as there are many steps to the loot rolls in this game. But the chance of a zod in solo hell cows is I believe 1 in 2.5 million if I remember right.

Before you make a new game, u can choose terror zones off or on, i put them off and right after next game i got a sur rune from travincal, Im not sure if this change has a any effect on droprates but it worked for me. Or maybe im just being unlucky from the beginning. I also didnt get any drops for 7 seven days like anything at all.

Yeah, you were probably just unusually lucky before.

If you have thousands of runs under your belt that is enough of a sample size to rule out rng. If you say well, you need 10.000 runs at least i’d say that is the point where you maybe should increase drop rates.

Diablo 2s longevity was due to rune dupes. People could afford runes back in the day because of dupes. If you remove dupes and don’t increase drop rates to compensate you have an unrewarding game on your hands.

i have the same feeling.

early on i get HRs at a good rate… if i spam chaos ill find something…
then later on (like now) i can clear it 100 times and have nothing to show for it.

i get to gear up my hammerdin early and then everything else suffers lol

to the point where i end up thinking about salvaging/trading everything on my hammerdin to have fun with something else. but logic says i should keep the pally as the workhorse in case everything else dies lol (hardcore)

it feels like theres a luck slider that passively goes down as a season gets older. but lets be real… that’s just luck and bias.
