They should allow us to buy stash tabs for money like in POE, maybe then they can get enough stead income to keep the game updated and bug free.
I don’t have any issues with the ideas you made, other then infinite stash tabs should be limited to max of 30 at most, and charm inventory I not sure is a good idea. With how good rune words are you don’t really need a full inventory of charms, other then PvP.
And I don’t see why stacking gems/runes would be a bad thing either.
My answer when MTX or anything comes up so they can keep games going, show me when they haven’t made money? They just don’t spend the money in the right places at times.
It was never the intent of the charm system to make you choose between picking up loot or gaining power, it was a necessary consequence due to era limitations. Not being able to grab loot isnt a balance…its just annoying and stupid. doesnt make the game harder, just punishes you arbitrarily by forcing you to carry a cube around and kill stuff with your inventory open to grab the occasional noteworthy drop. Im really sick of all you morons advocating for less space and less features, like seriously, space has been an issue in EVERY diablo game, stop bottlenecking my ability to accumulate wealth, I want to play the game not play stash/mule management…not saying it needs to be infinite, but a handful of tabs is stupid, no other diablo like game has such pathetic stash space to hoard your wealth. There is no choice to be made regarding these types of features, just annoying player work arounds, give me no stash, i will have 100 mule characters, give me no charm bag, i will carry around a cube like its 2002 again.
So go ahead and keep pretending these 20 year old limitations create a delicate balance, because all they really do is waste my time performing 20 year old work arounds.
Speak for yourself, all the polls lean pretty heavily on YES to many of the proposed changes. And most of us taking part in polls are the hardcore players that frequent reddit and forums, we dont even have a voice from the casual community that will make up the majority of the playerbase. Do you really think they want 2001 diablo 2? I highly doubt it. They want the same core experience with modern touches.
I see a reason for it, blizzard wont have to store an extra 20 million mule characters on the servers, which is what we will do to hoard our runes if we dont get stacking.
The current projection is 3 shard and 1 personal tab…i had half a dozen accounts on the original games for only runes…please tell me how that will suffice for rune storage.
How or what limited them from making a charm only inventory, that makes no sense, they programmed very specific slots for other things. I always took charms as a balance, and if you left yourself no room, that’s on you.
Now using the cube as a stash should be removed, that makes less sense to me.
the same thing that limited them from ever giving us more stash space, the way they stored item data was costly on server space, the way data was read etc…giving every single player online an extra # of items to read at any given time would have caused a significant load.
We accumulate mass wealth, sometimes i would trade hundreds or trade for hundreds of high runes a day. It depends on what i was doing at the time…purging wealth to build a character, or purging old items for universal rune wealth. Thats just my personal playstyle though. What am i to do with my 57th shako? I dont need it…so i trade it for high runes…rather than trying to trade item for item…runes are more desireable generally.
They couldnt even give us more space in d3…and thats a far newer game, and they stated SPECIFICALLY its because of the way they store item data…every new slot we get, causes a server load due to how they capture data, its part of how they attempt to prevent duping etc.
I understand it but how many people like you is out there? Its not like i am agaisnt it, i just dont think its needed. I am only little bit worried that people will find ways how to dupe stacks or runes.
Thats a fair worry, but thats for developers to figure out, every second i dont have to spend doing something annoying like running through mule characters is a change ill fight for though. I can tell you MOST of the JSP community and people looking to play hardcore tend to accumulate as much wealth as possible, and if this game isnt infested with bots and duped items, you can bet some rare items will cost an entire invetory worth of high runes…meaning we will need to be able to hoard quite a bit of wealth to afford to build a character outright.
That was not a limitation. Just this way of playing a game (farming Baal forever to get all items) was not really intended. It was just some kind of a bonus level, not the main part. That time ago games were supposed to be finished at some point.
What are you even talking about, you literally just responded the most off base irrelevant comment I have ever seen, do tell what Baal Runs have to do with inventory size limitations and stash size limitations.
Exactly. Stacking runes would invariably lead to mass runes duping. I estimate runes would become so prevalent they would end up being nearly worthless because of how many would be in the market. It would be worse than in the original Diablo.
The charm inventory worries me in a similar fashion. Who knows what kind of dirty exploit they could find.
