No. We don’t want shared loot only and personal loot only. We want the option to choose upon game creation.
I’m not here to defend jsp, his activities, the money ppl make… i don’t play d2 for money. There is tons of websites selling currency vs money (for D2 and for most ARPG as PoE etc.) as you said.
I just ask to consider the players, the community itself which is the most important of Diablo II.

I’m bringing it up because it’s a huge part of how d2r is going to turn out, the influence is astronomical and if the game gets run by 3rd party pickit etc again I hope they change the loot as much as people agree or don’t want it if it at least take the 3rd party advantages away somehow

Actually as someone mentioned before being able to exp lock characters for lld ext would be fantastic.
I loved making games where everyone makes hc lvl 1 char, you play until everyone is lvl 9 and use the loot you found then dual to the death/last char standing.
Def some Qol’s that could make even pvp better

There is not a mass conspiracy of D3 players on the D2R forum requesting changes. To post on the D2R forum, you had to pre-purchase D2R. Are you implying that there is a bunch of D3 players who spent $40 to troll about D2R?
There is a significant portion of diehard D2 players (as well as casual D2 players) on the D2R forums and elsewhere that want changes in D2R relative to D2. There are also a significant portion that want no changes. This is proven, irrespective of that you claim.
Blizzard sent out a survey. They will get their own results. I suspect qualitatively (not quantitatively) the results will be ballpark similar to the reddit survey. Nevertheless, Blizzard will make the final call. Blizzard may decided to go with the minority or majority viewpoint.
Then don’t. Irrespective of where you stand on this discussion, it will not be going away from the forums any time soon.
Uh I don’t think that’s true. I’m not a big fan of D3 and I’ve used d2jsp extensively for years. D2jsp users are here too.
But some might want to play the game in a resolution and framerate that doesn’t make their eyes vomit. Even with nGlide or Sven’s, the game still suffers from its age and could use a modern shell.
I can’t see how FFA loot click fest is going to work on console unless the loot mechanics are changed.
Splitting community is not good idea. I honestly hate the loot system from Diablo 3 as it killed the trade.
I dont see a point to have personal loot if you play with others. Any change to that will break the economy of game and game will not be as it used to be. If you want personal loot, create solo game.
First of all guys, if you think this Reddit Poll Numbers is based from D2 Players their opinion, is actually not true.
Only about my personal experience:
When i played D2 earlier in my life I was gathering Information more in D2jsp or other websites, I heard about Reddit when I was a D3 Player before that I never touched Reddit. And it’s not only me, I spoke with a lot of other D2 Player the last days and specially yesterday we got a conversation about this Poll and all of them told me they have less with Reddit to do, they were even surprised about the Poll, no one of them knew about it.
I want to be clear about this and Blizzard need to know, this Poll is mostly based of Diablo 3 Players.
I shared yesterday a lot of Information in different kind of Discord-Servers about D2R current situation and if Blizzard decided to change the Core of D2, they will get a massive Refund by tons of Players.
We need for sure a Poll in D2jsp cause most of the Trader and Players from D2 doesn’t even know about this and they opinion are defeatly asked as well, and I wrote today in Europe Chat Channels of D2 about this, and they were super surprised and shocked, they thought I am joking.

Despite the fact I’m on your side (Solo Game is a great way to get your personal loot, especially when they want to add the /players X command for online) that’s not 100 percent true.
Personal Loot does not mean it has to be the way it was realized in Diablo 3. I doesn’t even has to mean the loot with increase x8 (for each player) as a lot of people state in the forums.
Drop rates, drop amount can still stay the same, but the items that are dropped, will randomly associated to a player of the game. Means rarity of items will be the same like in FFA Loot, theres just a bigger chance to everyone to get a pie.
That has nothing to do with the question if you are able to trade that items later on or not. (That would rather be personal items for instead of personal loot)
This definitely ist a very good idea for casual players and people welcoming to this game who never played Diablo before. It’s also a good way to gtfo of bots to be honest. But it will also destroy the ambition to be the fastest and very first who has clicked, that’s true for sure.
Blizzard will split automatically the community based by their decision to implement Personal-Loot System and everyone knows that.
A lot of D2 Players who knows about the Survey, they will not even buy D2 and a massive refund wave will be there.

Why would most D2 players think a Blizzard survey is not real and a joke? Asking a question does not mean something will be implemented. It probably just means that it is under consideration where how serious that consideration is remains unknown.
If the multiplayer technical alpha pops up with loot changes (or Blizzard says something definitively), I would worry then.
I’m pretty sure 99% of the people shouting out a refund if personal loot will be implemented will actually still play the game.
The Reddit Poll, not the offical from Blizzard about the official one, they are pissed off and mostly of them still not pre-ordered D2R because they said they will wait till the final release is there.
I am not sure, mostly has a strong economy which they wanna keep or continue by FFA-Loot System and otherwise they need to rethink. Still tons of d2 players still not pre order D2R because they are waiting how the outcome of d2r will be.
And a lot of D2-Players are believing what the Devs said at Blizzcon, so yeah lets see how this plays out…
