It seems to be an issue with the latest patch (incorrectly) categorizing some system hardware as “hand-held” and forcing a “hand-held Windows” UI update.
I’m not sure there’s currently any way to fix/revert, based on what people have said, but apparently the battery percentage notification can be turned off in options. I haven’t had it happen to either of my systems, but I did notice the clock/game name info is now 1 line lower (to make space for battery percentage indicator? ) than it used to be, even on my desktop PC.
i think it’s 25h2 Xbox mode integration to run Xbox Games straight on pc has got something to do with this…
so either this alone
or
if you have D2R both on PC and Xbox… than i’d definetly lean towards saying it’s 25h2 as M$ tweaked something in 25h2 to run Xbox games on PC hardware out of the box w/o any emulation
longer more verbose version for dimwited console pesants:
and that’s it.. quit complaining get it fixed yourselves.. as it turns out it’s not that big of a deal..
andif your allyX doesn’t have enaugh storage to hold this kind of data.. than modify it go grab a bigger ssd and chug it in to ally x, and then continue with the rest..
and that’s it.. quit complaining get it fixed yourselves.. as it turns out it’s not that big of a deal..
It is a big deal though. People shouldn’t have to fix Blizz’s mistakes themselves, especially when it was working fine before the patch. Too bad they don’t give the slightest damn about QA, not that it’s anything new.
Recent Windows updates are breaking so many things lol. They gotta get their stuff together. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is unplayable and fps is lowered by half. Multiple Task Manager processes stay open in the background and can lower PC’s performance.
And this isn’t really a fix since you have to mod/unpack files, which I don’t necessarily want to because I don’t want to install things and edit configs myself
That doesn’t really make any sense. Handhelds are fully fledged x86_64 windows/linux computers. Hell, I even use a steam deck as a low powered server to host stuff (cause you can run it 24/7 without a big hit on the power bill, so they make for great homelab servers)
They’re not gonna have the same performance as a desktop with high end parts, but once you plug them into a monitor and with mouse and keys, they work like a PC. I’ve gamed on much worse computers.
same here, and I am using a Lenovo LegionGo. My normal pc died and this is a temp fix but would be nice for blizz to just add a setting to turn it on and off.
