dragonflight so far seems good. Dragonriding is the best feature they’ve added to the game in a very very very long time. We’ll have to see if they can keep up the momentum though.

Its a complete dumpster fire.
Same game play as shadow lands.
Same awful forced systems like dragon riding.
A absolutely sht show of a talent system.
Forcing UI changes on brand new players when they log in.
A super toxic automated system that is 1000% abusable and is being abused in discoords set up specifically for targeting people for trolling and farming. Automated report system is the most toxic thing I have ever seen in any online game/forum in my entire life.
Its just bad game play. The pvp is super unbalanced.
And in retail blizzard is still using a toxic disgusting strategy developed to target the sheep mob.
You play DH? Dh is super broken OP right now. LIke god mod levels. They will wait until a ton of people have leveled their DH’s and Geared Up and ready to go. They will then OVERNERF the DH so much that it makes you want to re roll the next class that was just OVERBUFFED.
They keep the mass re rolling and regearing with this strategy. Overnerf a class and over buff another. Re roll<<<< Regear<<<<< Less time spent developing content.
One of the things I’ve noticed about the way they develop WoW in general Is they design the content then change the characters to match the content instead of designing content around the characters. This has been my huge complaint ever since they started force respeccing characters and changing talents around. The big one between TBC and Wrath of the Lich king when they put Scatter Shot in survival instead of keeping it in Marksman pissed me off.
So wait, are we still talking about diablo 1? Because I feel like this has morphed into a F - Blizz style thread, and no one cares to see another of those.
Don’t worry, papa Microsoft will make everything better. They’ll make WoW a bloatware addon to all copies of WindowsGames. And force it to run via the Windows Games Launcher from 2006.
No its just a siderail for a moment asking about Dragonflight. There’s no F Blizzard intended just a quick side chat.
Does anyone here think the store “system” of D1 was functional by today’s standard? Wirt being a paid gambling mechanic and the Stores being a wonky version of RNG that could either make you broken by level 3, or hilariously gimped.
Don’t worry, papa Microsoft will make everything better.
Latest news are that the acquisition isn’t guaranteed to go through.

There’s no issue with the D1 store, it’s based on character level for Griswold and Wirt, and on most dangerous area visited for Adria and Pepin. Plus, powerful items are very expensive, so you wouldn’t be able to acquire them at level 3.
I guess we could debate some things about itemization, but I really don’t get what issues you have with vendors.
Dude, I can turn potions into magic books. I can turn potions into any item in the game. I can theoretically max out my gold by level 2. And based off the fact that Blizz never patched it out, I think we can easily assume it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.

You can do it on level 1 if you have the time and skill to dupe your money - if you don’t care about being legit.
And you are able easily to buff yourself without top items from level 1 and gear up your character to make progress.

Do you know that this is a D1 thread? Not Wow!
Seriously, guys, I don’t know what to tell you if you base your complaints on what is obviously a bug exploit that has failed to be fixed in an era that barely did any patching.
That would be like complaining that runewords are too easy to do in offline because you can easily dupe items there. And magic/rare/unique/set items don’t fare much better with virtually infinite money for gambling, and infinite item reroll too.
The issue isn’t the store, the issue is that they didn’t patch a bug exploit, and that some players aren’t mature enough to stop themselves from abusing such exploits in an environment that doesn’t need those exploits.
That’s not exactly true. They did implement a “gamespy-esque” system that periodically checked for duped items, and then banned accounts for 24 hours if found to be in possession of said items. This was then exploited, and D2 arrived next year, and Blizzard gave up. If any one in/on this thread is old enough to remember the Launch of D2, then you’re able to remember what a disaster-tastrophy that was. Blizzard sucks at launching games that depend on non-account locked items as currency. D1 was bugged, D2 was day 0 hacked, D3 was a paid auction house, D:Immortal was an aborted fetus from top to bottom, and D4 is looking to re-hash the exact same mistakes as D3, with a paid AH on launch.
Either way, the issue isn’t the shop, and you shouldn’t base complaints about the shop on how it feels when you are abusing an infinite-money exploit.
Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty to discuss about the shops, like if they should sell elixirs and books, or if Wirt should have more items available for sale or some other advantage that makes it more valuable to check his wares. I just don’t see what issues you have with the shop system itself, outside of the unfair complaint based on an unlimited amount of gold obtained through cheating.
I’ll just say good point and drop it. I do still think it’s a dumb idea for Blizz to remake a game so old as to be nearly unplayable by today’s gamers.
What’s going on with it?
Easily the biggest thing for me is the Mythic+ gear still out valuing raid gear. I’ve played every WoW expansion, at the level just under Mythic raiding. Server firsts in Wrath and Cata. Raiding is my thing. Mists was rough until flex raiding was implemented. Cata nearly ruined raiding by having 10 man give the same loot as 25.
Mythic+ in Shadowlands and BFA killed raiding. Its so difficult to find a guild that wants to be competent in heroic clearing, but not move into Mythic raiding. Which ruined the game for me. Most guilds I knew of would just clear the current raid once, and that’s it. If they could even clear it. The expectation was to gear up in Mythic+… but no one coordinated clearing that. Most guilds only have 2-3 geared tanks. Which is not enough to make 4-6 groups of Mythic+ clear groups.
This is the first expansion I missed launch, and have no intention of buying.
