sry for my poor english not sure i understand you there , you mean before in lod 2001 , or you mean d2re ??? if you compare this too d2re i think you set the bar very low , because in the first place ww use to be broken in this game so nothing impressive to improve there , sry but 2 hand weapon 5 frame ww feel so bad and also feel a massive dps lost , idk this make any sense to give a minor buff to ik set and let all other two hand option underpower , anyone ask for this dump change , the dev just have too fix something broken in d2re . and let the ww table alone , the patch information are a lie , 2 hand get nerf and lost dps something already low ,
and you have other class that cast spell making massive dps or just running around with aura cleaning all map doing nothing all no sense , this is not what i call balance
1- the dev just have to fix the broken skill
2- let the ww ias table alone
3 - AND too improve the ww experience just unlock or add ias from the gear

sure. I think slow should also affect cast rates but I have a feeling that you’d flip out if that ever happened. Just a wild hunch
If WW should be affected by slows, then Smite should depend on AR.

I’m guessing it’s “all part of the plan” (if there ever was one) for next ladder, when they release some crazy new runewords for melee (yes, maybe even better than Grief), along with whatever other skill or mechanic balance changes they’ll inevitably try/make. Then the casters will be all “omg melee too strong waaah plz help our caster lives are so difficult” and then for the ladder after next they’ll buff some caster stuff and make some new updates and on and on. I saw this all play out in D3 for 20+ seasons. It succeeded there. They’ve already shown us the path they’re taking. So now it’s just a matter of time, waiting to see it all play out.

that doesnt make sense. however, I think berserk should work like smite, and not depend on AR.
I think it’s ironic how people want smite nerf’d, but when they nerf something that has been OP for years on another class then people freak out. Let this be a lesson, nerf’ing things is not good for anyone.
back then ww would hit twice in the first .5 seconds, meaning you could do super tight ww’s and land MANY hits. they removed this, and now you have a useless ww. The IAS isnt the issue, it’s the number of attacks per cast time. now you get 1 attack per .5s of cast time on average instead of 2 initially and then 1 onwards. I also dont like that slows affect ww attacks now, the speed ww travels is based on frw and slow would slow that down, but the attacks were unaffected which mean more attacks in a single ww as you crawled to the cast location.
with the addition of IAS playing a larger role in ww, 2H weapons and slower weapons like hammers, are not an option for barb using ww anymore. This change didnt help ww users, it actually ruined the skill while making it look good in the description. the AR and dmg buff was a much needed change, but the APF of ww should be reverted to what it was back in the old days.
idk who thought changing ww’s attacks per cast time was a good idea, since now they can hardly go toe-to-toe against casters(their prime target). I suppose a BvC with beastz and greifz will still do fine due to fanatacism, but now you dont get the double chop on the first spin…and in duels you NEVER do a long ww EVER. not even BvB do long ww’s otherwise the other barb can do mini ww’s across yours repeatedly and kill you easily. so yeah, this change to the Attacks Per Cast Time doesnt make sense.
When you think about it, They made WW worse across the board. Two handers can’t even reach 4 fpa anymore, and need much more IAS than they did before. Before you only needed IAS on your weapon. Now you need it on your weapon and your gear.
And one handers are worse too. They can still hit 4 fpa, but they also need IAS on the weapon and on gear. Double Steel Flails no longer hit 4fpa on their own. They have Reforged this game.
No. Berserker has tons of AR and hits like a truck. But they should allow 99% hit chance while there is still 5% evade chance.
They actually fixed the early hits, where 1 would not count. But nerfed IAS and Damage on WW lvl 27+.
Buff is only for the first 27 level. after that you lose damage.
And that’s why I hope they recognize their error/bug and fix it.
