D4 world boss joke

Sir, this is the D2 forum

Some people can’t see the difference in a 2 and a 4, typical Ploot enjoyer and PK cryer

  1. Damage numbers can be turned off.
  2. health bars over monsters can be turned off.
  3. I cannot believe you think the combat rotations of Diablo 4 are less complex than Diablo 2. I like Diablo 2 and it has plenty of depth in its own way, but the combat is fairly simplistic. Many builds are spending 90% of their time in combat smashing their one main attack spell. Martial Arts assassin is probably the only build that approaches the combat complexity of more modern ARPGs.

anyway sorry to interrupt the circle jerk.

Based on the content of your OP. Its incorrect, sir.

I mean I have 16 keybound hotkeys on my pally, and wish I had more (still gotta remap for ubers)… You could play D4 with an SNES controller. Sorry if I’m not a console gamer and can’t count past 6.

I mean in 1999 EQ felt kinda bad with only 8 spell slots…but it least it had a hotbar as well.

Hell I could play 2 separate character on D4 at once with buttons left over on just my mouse… What am I supposed to do with my keyboard? Use it as a cup holder?

OH wait… type my Credit Card info into the cashshop.

I mean for real, does anyone remember when games used to come with a printable map of the default keybinds? and half your keyboard was used? HATE console game design. It’s boring.

No I don’t want ā€œE to interact.ā€ I want O to open, B to bash it, S to search for traps, L to lockpick it, T to trap it, L to listen. Also get your damn quest log an arrow off my screen. If I want to know what quest I’m doing I’ll open the dang journal and read it.

ā€œjerkā€? you should grow up

Path of Exile did it reasonably well. Blizzard missed that point.

I don’t doubt PoE does it better. However, I don’t think Path of Exile does an exceptional job. I think PoE caters to a niche group of players much like Diablo does. It’s just different. PoE alienates a lot of its potential audience because it has the most overly complicated builds of any ARPG (or maybe RPG for that matter?). When you’re watching yt videos of builds and it’s just 30 minutes of staring at a spreadsheet, you’ve lost most of the potential audience. So, in terms of attempting to maximize ROI, PoE might do a better job but neither do a particularly good job. Destiny does a better job than both of them and they don’t do a good job IMHO. Hopefully some game company realizes there is potentially a large untapped opportunity and seizes it at some point to give us the game we all want.
