The game won’t open. Open Battle.net app, click d2r, play, loads up, gets to “connecting to battle.net” closes. That’s it. Any help?

I have the same problem!
When I open D2R, after the intro screens, the game crashes when it tries to connect to Battle.net.
Besides that, I can’t even play offline, because I get a message saying it’s been over 30 days since I last connected to Battle.net. I understand it’s part of the game’s validation process, but the game was purchased and I still can’t play. At the very least, that’s outrageous!
