Have you tried dxvk-nvapi?
I have yet to but I noticed that it has a graphics device spoofing option which apparently works for some games that check if an adapter is supported or not before launching.

Glad you got it working on Linux, good job.
No I did not try it. Once I got the v6.19 GE working I did not do further experimentation.
Why not create a vm so you could still run d2:R?
That is a heck of a lot of un-needed overhead and my system definitely would not work under those conditions. Also I am unsure if it is possible to make a 64 bit virtual machine.
You could run your machine in cli and contribute all the resources you don’t need to power your vm. You can run a 64bit vm if your machine allows.
Others might find that very useful. I have no interest in running a virtual machine especially since the only operating systems worth running to start with are Linux or BSD.
The problem is that the minimum requirement to run d2:R specifies a Win10 OS.
Microsoft and Google already have all your information so just use Windows and actually play your video games instead of fighting with your OS for 2 hours just to get a game to launch.
Please explain how to setup and run windows 10 at command line in a VM while launching a GUI windows game? Please include how the VM video card/driver are going to be compatible with D2R and be able to perform like a physical card.
Hmmm… Please explain how M$ and Google have all my info. I never fought with Linux. The issue I had was a particular component used with WINE/Lutris did not work. The component was replaced with a newer version and it works now. I get better performance on a clean Linux install versus a clean windows 10 install. This is overall and with D2R. Maybe you should drop Windows get with Linux.
I was mildly curious on that one (the 64 bit cli vm) but not enough to inquire.
This is an Nvidia driver issue. If you use an AMD card and properly remove all Nvidia drivers then this error won’t occur anymore.
