Was browsing some runewords I’d like to make in the future for my merc when I noticed this one called “Crescent Moon” and got really excited.
Attack speed bonus, chunky lightning resist debuff, Static Field on hit, and the ability to summon my own wolf companions! It looked like the perfect melee-swap for me and relatively cheap to boot! Then I noticed: Axes, Sword and Polearm only, no spear option.
My disappointment was immeasurable and my day was ruined 
Wait, didn’t you say you were looking to make it for your merc? I am guessing the A2 merc so polearm should be fine. Unless you are talking about yourself, then yes, it sucks that the runeword is not for spears too

Oh I was browsing runewords to make for my merc yea, then I noticed it and was thinking of how perfect it would be for myself. It looked made for a Spear amazon and its not like we have a ton of viable options either compared to others.
whats wrong with pole arms?
Skills from “Javelin and Spear” tree don’t work with polearms (obviously).
