Congratulations to the Minority

They were very clear from the beginning about this. There should not be any surprise.

You weren’t advertised D3.5 and therefore you shouldn’t have thought collective crying after preorder would get them to cave to your demands “one way or another”. You were a very small minority (no matter how loud one collectively screamed), you need to realize this, kiddos.

That mentality only works in class, not the real world.

It’s time for many to grow up a little bit and be reminded that one doesn’t always win.

Thank God they kept everything the same except the graphics and some QoL. Otherwise my experience would’ve been totally ruined. The game is a masterpiece that should not be altered.

As a long time player, I agree. My brother feels the same way. There should be more QoL things like filters, a charm inventory, stackable gems and runes, and a ploot option. I want this game to thrive, but I feel like the player base is going to dwindle down drastically without QoL and balance patching.

Game feels just as good as it did 20 years ago. This revitalized it for another 20 years.

And we all know that people don’t quit playing D2, they just take breaks.

Lol, with all the options for gaming today, you don’t really believe this do you? :joy:

Ummm - none of these other “options” have stood this test of time.

So, yes, we do believe this because as with Diablo 3 and every other watered down Diablo Clone, you’re finally experiencing a real challenge and watching you all melt down is actually more fun than playing the game itself

I really wish people would stop defining ploot as a QoL. The loot system is a core mechanic. I assume this deliberately false description is done in an attempt to get them to change it. No thanks use socket yellow gems to increase magic find.

I seem to remember a ton of “it ain’t DII” when DIII came out, some of which was justified given the state of the original release. It’s interesting how ironic that some of the comments in this forum are when you consider the history of the newer game.

Maybe there’s some reversal of expectations because of what ARPGs have become in the 20 years since D2 was originally released.

I’d just ask people to remember that the game is what it is/was, and the clear intent during development was to preserve the core of the original game, and they did that fairly well I think.

I don’t know what the plan is for this remaster, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t eventually fix some of the warts and bumps that I think people forgot about from the original. Remember that DIV is in development too, and that’s where I’d expect all the new ideas and goodies to be, not necessarily in this.

I have been so busy playing I didn’t think to check forums. I love it how it is. I played when I was 14, and now after not playing so long, and playing LOD for first time it is amazing!!

Making insight first time feels so good.

Keep it as it is. It has many new enhancements already! Please do not turn this into D3 which does not even feel gratifying playing. Finding a 4 socket crystal sword to make spirit feels sooooo good compared to even a full item set on D3.

I think the majority are playing the game and having a blast, not wasting time crying on the forums.

There is a term, Vocal Minority, I think that is what group OP is in.

You know when you buy a very old album or a movie that has been “digitally remastered” how none of the content changes, it just sounds and looks better?

Yeah, that’s what a remaster is.

(unfortunately, we still have some kinks like Miss Dafoe and Miss Token Assassin and Mister Token Paladin).

And that’s all i ever wanted. People calling for changes are going to ruin this game.

D3 just blows hard, all the game does is give you items everywhere lol as far as this game goes, they should have learned more from the d2 mod community but maybe they will do some changes later. as for now, this game is really buggy

This game is better than poe and on par with grim dawn. Grim dawn isn’t a smooth experience either. Yes I’ve played all the way through it multiple times.

I was just going to make this comparison.

“Man, the mix on Cowboys from Hell seems a bit off. That album should get remastered. And they should have Justin Bieber write and sing new lyrics instead of leaving Phil in, and lay down some new guitar tracks because Dime’s style just feels old.”

hell, they should just make it a k-pop album

Exactly the same? Wanna go get your eyes checked and come back? K thx

I agree with this. I expected more than just better graphics for the money. Especially since I own the original Diablo II and Lord of Destruction expansion (which should have given a discount, to be honest).

Might be a good idea to put on your reading glasses and read again.

Again, go get your eye checked and come back. Exactly the same except for some QoL updates and graphics updates.

But yet they introduced the game to 3 new platforms, added a completely new way of playing the game (gamepad), overhauled an entire U.I for said gamepad, requires online, added cross platform progression, removed tcp/ip, and killed the modding community

Yup, good thing they only added some QOL updates and update the visuals. Get out of here with your nonsense.
