Getting this message when I try to speak in game. I haven’t played in like 6 months; does having bought the expansion trigger something where I can’t talk in games? Or is it a bug?
edit: the problem resolved itself after about 4 hours and restarting the game.
I also have this on my main account. I play D2R almost everyday, so it’s not an inactive acc issue imho.
Had just bought Warlock and it got this without reason.
No type of chat works. I could at least play.
On this acc, I can’t even start the game, it’s stuck with process not loading any resources.
UPDATE**: switching regions fixed the issue**

Might need a refund if this isn’t fixed.Seems to be riddled with errors if you read the forums.
i also have this issue i played all last week and its a very old account so its not like my account is fresh off the blocks ive sent a ticket but how am i supposed to play with randos with zero ability to chat.
I opened a ticket and asked for a refund I dont want to continue supporting blizzard.This patch is a mess. It sounded good but the execution is terrible.
I should have known better than buying prior to watching the reviews.
I am having the same issue and I am an active player as well.
I just grabbed a refund. I may consider purchasing again in the future if they fix this. Removing this patch and Rolling back to “expansion” and everything is fixed btw if anyone was interested. No more chat errors…. Too bad was hoping for a good update.
Will watch these forums for updates on this error, but not going to waste any of my time trying to figure this out, seems to be a blizzard issue. Good luck guys, hopefully they patch it up quick!

Yep have the same issue as well. I’m able to play online and create a game tho. Just sucks I can’t chat in lobby
I have 2 accounts. One I’ve upgraded, and the other I have not.
I’m getting this message on the upgraded account, but not the other one.

Hi. I just fixed mine upgraded D2R by switching regions.
I tried switching to Europe and restarting app but that didn’t do anything for me. still cant talk in any lobby

get a refund. im done with any diablo . d2 was the only left masterpiece and they are killing it. cant believe they suspend every players who buy their dlc and doesnt aknowledge or apologize the issue at all.
Just bought new DLC and installed D2R again. Made new Warlock character, joined a room, couldn’t chat due to my ancient account being “under review”.
Closed game, relaunched game, chat is working fine again.
Some proper drama queens in this forum.
