If trying to join in HC i get “A non hc and HC cant play together” and for SC i get “a ROTW and non Rotw can play together” we can both join public games but not each others, the only thing it could be is im EU and he is NA but this has never been an issue before

One of you have purchased the DLC. So you can’t play together.
There are new monsters and drops that isn’t available in expansion. Only DLC has access.
Treat this as another mode. Classic, Softcore, Hardcore, DLC, etc.
same here, we both have rotw and are playing warlock but I am on NA PS5 and hes on EU PS5, he cannot join my game and vice versa. there are issues with region ever since the release yesterday. this was never an issue before.

We both own the Dlc we can join each other in SC just not HC
So apparently the first bug was not allowing different region to link up. Dev did a hotfix on it the next day. But this was on softcore.
I don’t play hardcore or notice anyone voicing out besides you. If it’s still happening. Open a new bug report on it. Blizzard is watching closely trying to fix all the issues before Friday.
