My friend and I are unable to join each other regardless of who hosts on either a private game through invite or a public game with password. It could be a regional issue possibly as he is in EU and I am in NA.
The error message for a public password protected lobby is: “ This game is no longer available to join. Please try joining another game.”
The error message that we get when trying to join a private game through invite is: “Unable to enter game. A Non-Ladder character cannot join a game created by a Ladder character”. Bear in mind we are both on a level 1 SC Ladder character.
We have tried all the work arounds and I’m not sure if changing region in game is possible on console. Some assistance would be greatly appreciated, please fix Blizz!!
EDIT: I tried joining a friend in my same region and it worked just fine on ladder, which leads me to believe the ladder season is currently bugged when trying to join cross-region. Please patch this for Console players Blizz!
Last time I tried it didn’t work. But did it before the latest update before Feb 20.
On the Switch in settings you can change region to EU or Asia. I remember few seasons back I went from US to Asia just to see how many games are up vs US. I even join and played but the lag spike was difficult so I switch back to US.
Same problem on nintendo switch with any other regions. Ive tested with friends , na and asia can join eachother , but europe cant join any , and cant join. Tested it on all variants ladder, nonladder , classic , expansion, rotw. On all nonladder we can join only on normal games , but locked on nightmare or hell stating we didnt killed baal. And for ladder is totally locked.
Funny thing is that, my friend is in Korea, I’m in France, we are BOTH on Europe region, doesn’t work. Before the DLC we were able to play together without any problem ._. Tard blizzard for real.
Same issue here. SC Ladder character on PC (Steam) in Europe region. Tried yesterday to trade with someone from another region, and got the same error message. Today the same thing happened with someone else. It’s really annoying. We double-checked that we’re both ladder etc. Error message makes no sense.
This post Honestly needs more attention. Absurd that console players are the only ones affected, and its limiting our experience. @diablo2 devs whats going on?
I’m experiencing same issue, my friend and I both play D2R on NS, but he is in Japan realm and I’m in NA, I tried all method to either join his game or inv him to mine, one said game dosen’t exist, one said non-ladder char can’t join a ladder game (we are ladder characters).
This issue only happened on Ladder mode, we could join each other within non-ladder mode, but we barely play non-ladder.
