Cannot Create or Join Games with Non-Ladder Characters After Season 13 End

Hello,

I am experiencing a critical issue where I cannot create or join games with any of my Non-Ladder characters since the end of Ladder Season 13.

I strongly suspect this is a data synchronization issue caused by an incorrect runeword item made during Season 13, which has now transferred over to the Non-Ladder server.

Here are the specific details of my account and the suspected cause:

  • Affected Account (BattleTag): ZestlesS#31330

  • Suspected Item/Cause: During Season 13, I accidentally placed runes in the wrong order into a 3-socket Runic Talons. The runes were socketed in the order of Mal - Gul - Amn.

  • Current Symptoms: Due to this corrupted or bugged item data on the character, I am completely blocked from entering any games. Whenever I try to join or create a game, I receive errors like “Failed to create game” or “Failed to join game.” (Other accounts on the same PC can log in and play perfectly fine.)

Requested Actions:

  1. Please reset the server session for the affected characters/account.

  2. Or, if possible, force-delete the bugged item (the Runic Talons socketed with Mal-Gul-Amn) to fix the data corruption.

I kindly request a thorough investigation and a prompt fix so I can play my characters again.

Hi, I’ve been having the same issue and I think you may be onto something since I’ve also had a katar weapon socketed with Mal+Gul+Amn, not knowing it was deactivated in a previous patch.

Have you heard back from anyone regarding your situation? Since I’m also hoping to have my issue addressed as well and I have also posted here and have not heard a word from Blizzard.

Still hoping to get a resolution as well on my end.

In case there’s anyone from Blizzard who sees this as well, I’m hoping the same solution can be undertaken for my account, with the BattleTag: Johnnybuoy#3450

It would be a shame to have to wait for the next reset to access season 13 characters since I would lose the HRs gathered during that season as well as some items in the shared stash.
