Buffing fire skills seems odd

I’ve been using hydra/orb for years. It’s far more fun then Meteorb IMO. Looking forward to the changes.

Fixed. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yep I’m looking forward to using hydra as well!

  1. They also said they buff physical dmg (volcano, moulten boulder, armageddon(a little))
  2. Less skills needed to be invested = Hybrid (yey, those are always most fun!)
  3. Stronger Summons = Yay, shaman with fireclaw as well might finally be a semi decent build, and i dont need a top meta build, but i love this playstyle and i love 3hybrids and hybrids. Im just tired of doing 17k dmg fire claw, having 14k ar vs a paladin with 90 fire res and 18k defense… Having a semi strong grizzly + a better 4 frame 2 hander and 1 hander for fireclaw + utulizing a little nuffed volcano and fissure is right down my alley
  4. Boosting physical dmg of werebear! Yay! More hybrid dmg^^

Also:
I like the new stuff for sorc, easy to hybrid with melee sorc, which i like on top of boosted holy shock and holy fire if i understood it correct

That’s fair, but that’s how I naturally play anyways. Drop hydras at the edge of the screen until they stop moving or they keep moving and advance casting orb as I go.

Good point; How much dps the Hybrid skills provide is a large factor as well.

More reasonable to give up dps on one of them if they are already decimating.

I suppose I just like the idea of having an avenue or subset of skills in each Tree for Sorc that are less synergy dependent.

  • Frost Nova / Frozen orb for Cold.
  • Nova / Charged Bolt / Thunderstorm for Lightning.
  • Inferno, Blaze, Fire Wall, Enchant for Fire.

Sure… but you’re always going to have the subset of people (and you see it already) who want to max out one skill and expect it to destroy the game instead of having to make meaningful choices around which skills to try to get max damage out of and which you can do without maxing. My go to is max hydra (and it’s synergies) max orb and get Cold Mastery to 100% with gear.
