There is so much wrong with your assumptions. For alot of players, trading is a big part. For others, its PVP… Try not telling people how to play and enjoy the game?

I think it’s weird for a game to encourage its players to cheat at it to get to enjoy it.
And the problem isn’t that I’m trying to tell you how to play and enjoy it.
It’s that Only one type of demographic gets to enjoy it. SSF is an unenjoyable experience in this game. And I regret every time I come back to it.
LOL, a game that has trading designed into it with a trade window, is cheating? Like it or not, Hunting Loot/Trading loot IS a big part of D2. Not 100%, but for some players it is, and that is OK. You need to accept that your way, isnt the only way.

Well, thats on you TBH. I do agree its a tougher part of the game, the dedication to SSF. Its certainly not my way, but I try to as much as possible. This season was the first for D2R I did not trade for Tals armor, I went and found it, and that was a grind.
My point is play how you want, if you feel jipped, thats on you. Changing the game for a few, affect the many who enjoy the way it plays and how many options there are.
Your entitled to feel this way, but its not like you dont have the choice to play SSF, just have to put the time in and get the drops. Its not like the high end items are turned off for you and you only can trade for them. Thats the way you make it sound when you post things like this. Atleast thats how I interpret it.

That’s on me, for sure, for wasting my time on this game at all, thinking that anything less than complete and total dedication with 8 copies of the game running multi-boxed might end up in having the game treat me like a human being instead of a slave.
Enjoy your 5,000th Chaos run, or whatever is it you do to chepen this game just so you can go run to a forum to trade it off and cheat your way past the drop rates.

Nah, I mix farm, if you know the game, you know certain areas, bosses, ect have different drops for certain items, and mixing it up keeps it fresh. TZ helped with that as well.

Farming, hell. Pits, Flayer Jungle, Chaos, World Stone. Masoleum, Random TZ’s, etc.
High Density areas, etc. Literally following all the “Efficiency” Farming guides I could. Playing “YOUR” ways. Instead of mine.
Because 19 years of playing my way never ended up in anything. So I figured I’ll dedicate a whole month to playing like all of you. Minus the JSP forum trading and Multi-boxing and see what happens.

Funny thing is though. The time I spent on Countess. Was the only legitimate progress that I ever made towards making an enigma.
If you were doing all of that. You would find higher than a Shael. Stick with it, once that high end item drops out of nowhere, you feel that ecstacy. Im sure you know that and are just trolling, if you actually have played for 19 years.
My way is the same, farm the high level areas, boss packs, bosses. Stuff drops. Sometimes after 1 run when I get a moment, sometimes it takes 20. Thats the game. I know it will be far less enjoyable if thats cheapened.

Here’s the idea. In a single playthough of a single character going from normal to hell, without being rushed, or skipping content. Should be damned near finished with the game. IE, Have that Enigma BUILT!.
Not require them to run though content 10,000 times just to get 1 peice towards it. And it’s not even a peice towards it. It’s just an item you’re forced to go trade off for the actual stuff you need.
In reality, that’s not good game design. It might have worked back when Diablo 2 had Zero competition. But today. Not thanks. It’s for losers with no life trying to turn this game into a day job. So I can get spammed with RMT sites in game.
Do you actually find running the same content over and over 1,000 times over alot more compelling than a game where you can do it about 100 times and be done with it and move on with your life? Or you’re the type of person to want to play this game for the ENTIRE season?
You should tell him that he has to do it fast. 1 hour for 1x pit is not enough.

Game wasnt meant for that, nor do you need those high end items to beat the game.
Game was always intended to farm for loot to complete your characters, build them up to kill more efficiently, level up to 99(cant reach that in a single play through)

Nope, I dont play that way, I mix it up. If I find the items i want in a season, great, if not, I will try for next season and hope the RNG is with me, or find a high item I dont want, and trade it for what I do want.
