Black screen after launching then game crashes

Hey again everyone,

Looked over these MSinfos. You aren’t all having one specific error, but a couple of different root causes. The most common reasons I’m seeing for players having this problem in this thread are one of the two following problems.

The first is that some of you are having the same problem being talked about at this thread. This is common for players with older Processors (CPUs). For this we’re looking at old Intel i3s/i5s, Xeons, and Phenom processors. If your CPU is from before 2011, this is probably the problem you’re having. If it is the problem you’re having, it’s a bug, and you can keep an eye on that forum for updates.

The other major problem I’m seeing is an unsupported PC. Most of you who have this problem are using Intel Integrated GPUs as the only GPU in your PC. If the only graphics card in your PC is an Intel graphics card, the game is not coded to use this type of GPU. The minimum system requirements for graphics cards are a modern Nvidia or AMD graphics card. If this is the problem you are having, you’ll need to upgrade your PC or request a refund.

The rest of you are having a smattering of random issues which are unrelated. Some of you are having driver crashes, others are having problems with programs conflicting, some of you have out of date drivers, etc. Because of the nature of troubleshooting those types of crashes, we can not help all of you in this one thread. If the two above situations don’t cover your problem, you should perform normal troubleshooting for this problem. While doing this troubleshooting, note that there is an Advanced Troubleshooting dropdown as well which covers other less common situations that can still cause this. If the problem persists, please create your own thread or contact support directly for troubleshooting.

Since we’ve finished the investigation into the issues in this thread, I’m going to lock it to prevent further bumps making this message hard to find. Follow the steps above for information on how to troubleshoot your issue or get more help if it doesn’t work.
