I have a Harmony in an Ashwood bow. Haven’t found a better bow yet except for a damaged ceremonial bow, which I couldn’t do anything with. Should get me to late NM so I can farm a better bow.

How did yours roll? Mine was almost exact opposite of what I wanted. 218% ED (minimum was 200%… could have rolled 275%…) and 6 valk (but anything higher than 3 is useless since playing a zon…) I’ve been calling it the disappointment bow.

I have +6 to Valkyrie, but it’s obviously bugged because as you can see in the following image, it only gives +3: https://i.imgur.com/OI1hAVw.png
I suspect a lot of +specific skill items are bugged like this.
No, it’s not a bug.
Harmony gives Valkyrie as an off class skill, so anyone can use it. The maximum bonus you can get from an Oskill on the class that use it is +3.
It’s because if the level is too low it would be useless to even bother using on other classes, but giving the class that uses it such a high increase would be OP.
It should probably be mentioned in the tooltip. Another change I would wholeheartedly support. Something like (+3 for Amazon) in the same way most items will say (Amazon Only)

Ah, good to know. At least the Valk gives me enough time to get Andariel down to about 60% HP before she dies so I can survive long enough to kill her with relative ease (farming SoJ because I run out of mana fast with freezing arrow).
Oh, a frostmaiden then? Naisu. I went physical build myself. I like machine gun strafing everything down, my valk is quite a bit weaker though.
Do you have an insight merc? I don’t really even need meditation aura but it was the best base I found and it was 4 sockets so… insight it was.
I want a 5 socket base for obedience, would be so very much better. Mana leech is all I need to keep going.
Shame my merc is made out of toilet paper. A monster sneezes on him and his 1500-3000 damage and over 7000 defense and 60%+ resistances all fall on the floor as easily as if he were level 1.
I need to get him some life steal. Solo self found is a pain in the rear end at times you know.
If you are using Strafe, is it possible to go for Freezing Arrow + Strafe build since high level strafe can deal good single target damage? This way you can kill those phy immune monster.
- 20 Strafe
- 20 Freezing arrow
- 20 Cold Arrow
- rest of point into Passive & Magic
I have 20 in guided arrow for single target. As far as I am aware strafe doesn’t hit one target more than once, even if it looks like it does. I’ve never seen it do a ton of damage anyway.
Guided arrow is nice for 100% hit chance on bosses, on top of the extra 120% physical damage I get out of it.

She is doing alright in hell act 1. I really want to find something with life leech for merc so he doesnt get killed so much that he isn’t even worth resing… Right now valkyrie is tanking for me well enough at least.

Hi.
I see that you say save the Larzuk quest, but honestly you get three and they do the same thing. I wouldn’t save if you need an item it seems efficient if you just get it now so you can farm with it and trade your found items that are so desirable.

Yeah I don’t value larzuk’s quest particularly highly. I guess if you only play one or 2 characters it would be more important to save it, but with 4 chars I have several of them ready to go that I don’t really even need. I wish I could get 3 socket elite chest bases i out of him but the ones I want to use for my merc would all get 4 sockets.

I found a 557 def Superior Hellforge(5% ED and 15%EDura) with 4 sockets. I thought 400 was decent, but imagine that in Eth
I wouldn’t touch that thing with a 20 foot pole. Maybe for a merc runeword but not something I would use myself.
Don’t want to see a 2 million gold repair bill…
It would be for merc until I can find an eth.

Believe it or not, I run A1 frost merc. She’s doing almost as much base damage as I am with her Edge runeword. If I find a better base for another Harmony I’ll make it for myself and give my current Harmony to the merc.
The reason you would save Larzuk until you have a really good item is because he can socket any item in the game that doesn’t yet have a socket and is allowed to have one. That means rares, uniques, and set items. He can also socket superior items as well, something the cube recipe can’t do.

A1 merc can’t hold zon bows so your ashwood harmony would be useless to her. That was one of the reasons I made mine on a shadow bow, I want to give it to my necro merc someday.
Ah yes. Guess I’ll need to find another 4os bow for her. At least they drop semi-regularly past act 1 NM.
Normal cows. Easier to find a plain white one and socket at Larzuk. Don’t socket act 2 nm and above at larzuk because it will be more than 4. Act 4 chaos sanctuary and up will be 4 socket up until act 2 nm.
It takes hardly any time at all to grind an alt to act 5. Technically, Larzuk is an infinite source of sockets. Don’t worry about using them whenever.
