Battle net and bots

They won’t do that though, never have for any of their IP. Likely they have considered it and deemed it too inefficient in their operating models. Also kind of a double edged sword, if they openly admit that they can stop it in one model and are allowing it in another, doesn’t look good.

this is so true that’s why every online game ever has had bots because it’s so easy to deal with.

Shareholders will get nothing if people will stop playing their games because they cant deal with cheaters.

As I said, it depends how much you care about it as issue.

Incorrect, we all already bought the game. There is no sub fee for D2R. The sales of the game in the first year will not be impacted by botting.

Shareholders (of which I am one) will not be impacted by D2R bots.

Even WoW Classic held strong in subs through the plague of bots.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m against bots and hacks. I’m just giving you a different perspective than your own.

no amount of caring can stop bots from existing it will always be a game of catch-up, yes they can minimize bots and i hope they do but if their is money to be made new bots will always release and it will take time to find them. There is no way to stop them before they are encountered by either a person or program. So to say

is disingenuous, or a misspeak, I suspect the latter.

i certainly think that with bnet 2.0 blizzard has a much better shot at reducing the prevalence of hacks but i in no way ever expect a game to be free of bots/hacks if it is profitable to have them.

Cute. Really cute.

Nope.
