They are working on it to fix it propably today said a community manager:

So this one is gonna require a quick PC Patch. Team is working on it now. Hoping for it either today at the latest tomorrow.
Sounding like it will be tomorrow as we still tackle some of these server items but will be in the next day.

the patch is for our issue, and you don’t have our issue. you could find a fix for your issue if you looked elsewhere. couple guys had luck changing audio stufff…

I keep trying to click play before it lights up again. No luck. Maybe I need to upgrade my mouse as well

Im another one who can’t play the game because the game simply doesn’t launch, and I spent 70 hours in both beta’s without any issues…
Hope they fix it asap!

still, you are, in a way, possibly better off than us, because you could maybe troubleshoot your problem and start playing sooner than us. we can’t do anything till our issue is patched

Hey all! I have the same problem, game wont launch. I wanted to play it on Pc because my friends who want to play it as well are all on Pc.
Now i have a Ps5 and this game seems to have cross-progression. So does anybody know if it has problems on the PS5 too? Is it playable, regarding server issues too?

have bought D2, installed it. It says failed to initialize Graphics Interface and suggests I look at minimum requirements and a black screen in behind the error.

  1. I cannot launch the game, I am FAR above the minimum specs required. I have updated my graphics through NVIDIA and restarted my PC

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor 3.70 GHz
16.0 GB Ram
Running Direct X 12

  1. Everyone here is talking about older chipsets and videocards, but I bought this unit like two years ago and it was near top of the line.

Someone has dropped the ball terribly.
