MelHowell71 - What makes it a debacle is implementing AVX (either intentionally or unintentionally) AFTER 2 public beta tests (and however many internal tests), gaslighting the system requirements, the many server and other launch issues plus the awful communication and manner of a Community Lead.

Except nowās the time to get a leg up on ladder by banking fg on sites like d2 jsp.
They did not put it in the requirement because they did not plan on using AVX in the first place. If they had, we would have seen it in the alfa and both betas.

When Beta came out my AMD phenom II x4 which does not support avx or avx2 was still able to play at medium graphics.

Of course, there was no AVX used at that point. They started to code it in between when the open beta ended and the launch.

hate to break it to you but refunding it is the only thing that will solve the problem.
these companies only care about one thing money, and it costs money to fix this issue, so it they get to keep ill-gotten gains what makes them want to pay to fix it? its nothing in case you were wondering.

What is bugging me is that they try to make us think that it was āinadvertentlyā put in the final version. I meanā¦ its not like if they had forgot to put a comma or a period in a line of code. There must be a lot of lines of code that they had to add to use the AVX instructions. Thereās no way that itās there by accident, itās there because someone took a decision.

Wowā¦ thatās so not true. The only reason why itās required is because they used it in the final version of the game. During the beta, we already had a version that was working for everyone. And for the age of the CPU partā¦ Since the i3-3250 (minimum required CPU) was released in 2012, itās about 5 years older model than my G4600 that came out in 2017ā¦ can you see how that logic canāt work.

as someone who can see the writing on the wall I recommend you take it and donāt look back no matter what the forum guys are saying this will not be fixed today tomorrow or next year, blizzard did this as a test run to see what they can put people through to maximize profits,
this doesnāt happen a few weeks from a pretty much flawless beta where everyone was having a blast to today where people are now just done.
donāt give these people anymore satisfaction of seeing us all suffer, there are tons of other games to play out there, refund this garbage fire and play something else, or upgrade and deal with a slew of other issues that will just ruin your memories further, its over take the refund and donāt fall for this crap ever again, in fact Iād ignore it honestly, KOTOR remake will be much the same, we are dealing with the companies of 20 some odd years ago where customer satisfaction is the rule, no now we deal with companies that think we are all evil for things we have never done, all I know is Iām done with this kind of abuse, and I didnāt even fall for the wc3r crap in fact have they even fixed that crap yet, I bet they havenāt. I looked and of course they havenāt fixed it, of course.

people that really hate their fans, thatās who wc3r wasnāt supposed to be surpassed but yet here we all are, while blizz are rubbing their nips we are all here pleading, well Iām not anymore, now Iām hoping the hackey guys are on this case to remove avx and give us the experience of a properly running game, Iām just watching the ship sink, one thing is for sure, I canāt wait to see what nightmare blizz has in store for everyone when they launch that its going to be catastrophic, and they will be chillen on twitter flexing with their most successful launch in history and no one will be playing but blizz will be all like, no one playing who.

If i buy a new CPU today and in one year from now, a new CPU comes out with new instructions, does it make my CPU obsolete? No, if a company make a new game and use those new instructions, they have to make sure that i can play it too. How many games out there are using AVX and are not restricted to players who have it?

get the refund my dude, its over, blizzard still havenāt fixed wc3r, you think they are going to fix this abomination, they arenāt but they will keep you hear forever torturing you if you let em, or you can join me and watch the ship sink, but donāt get it twisted, I said they were going to do exactly what they are doing now, which is get to the weekend saying they need a few more days then the weekend then a few more days rinse and repeat ad nauseum, you starting to see where this goes now? because unless you wanna but a new PC where there will still be massive issues playing this on, well, if you havenāt yet Iād get the refund and either chill here with us watching the sinking ship sink or hold out hope the guys at blizz partying like its 1995 will fix a once working game they somehow broke in just a few short weeks, I know what Iād do, I already did it, I did it about ten minutes after the first launch, I didnāt troubleshoot I didnāt reset my PC I didnāt reinstall windows updat drivers etc etc, no ther game I play has me jump through those hoops and I knew it was just going to make me that much angrier when I realize I wasted all that time on a game that I ran fine just a few short weeks ago. I knew this was going to happen and Iām just a little mad for even wasting my time buying it, we all should have known not to take blizzard on their word for anything.

Yeah Iām trying to be patient, but I feel the same way. We are human and make mistakes, but its really hard to be understanding because I want to hop in and play!

I have never programmed a video game or worked for a video game company a day in my lifeā¦but I am 100% positive I couldāve found a thousand people who couldāve fixed this problem if I had the same resources as you. Money solves everythingā¦You F***ed upā¦Pay for it. Overtime, Outsourcing, Slavery, whatever it takesā¦if a 1000 blizzard employee virgins have to dieā¦so be it. Iām praying to all the video game Gods that they smite any employee taking a bathroom break, checking their social media, or stopping to flirt with the new human resources hire. Please hurry up and release a patchā¦
