Is anyone else finding it harder to place traps where you want them
It’s hard to tell where they will be placed if there’s a group cause you can’t tell which creature your attacking
I liked to place them a certain way to maximize damage to the enemy
No precision with controller thats the problem😞
It’s going to be interesting to see where they compromise on this. D3 managed to avoid the pointy end of these issues on console for the most part, but I’m not sure that approach is going to translate to the classic feel which they’ll be wanting to maintain in D2R.
I’ll get a bit more of a feel for this if I try some of the more target specific skills/classes. So far just 8 on my sorc and it doesnt seem to matter too much. First time playing D2 for me.
With a bit of Deuterium with the production of -electron you can achieve fusion in a vacuum space. Deuterium is expensive so don’t use a chamber which is too large.
There’s a huge change… some of the tactics used with mouse will break builds and it will be a totally different game compared to the pc version.
Yeah, I know what you mean. It’s going to be interesting how they manage this.
I’m getting a feeling when I step back to look at the big picture… D2R is strategically a bridge to D4. D3 is a different game in a number of fundamental ways … decisions which appear to have left a lot of people behind.
Now I still play D3 and start to play a bit of D2 for the first time and get a feel for what people have been talking about. I get D2, it’s cool in some ways. Taking me back to classic style RPG has it’s appeal. D3’s got some cool playability elements that I enjoy a bit more to be honest still. D4 is the modern redesign, with a respect to the D2 feel… hoping to bring the two worlds together when it’s ready.
Trapsin here and playing through to act 4, i agree that placing trap feel really wonky.
I dont want pointer and it just slow down the combat to aim with the stick.
I suggest there is an option to disable auto aim for placement skill like trap or sorc blizz/hydra/etc. Then replace them to being placed like a few steps in front of the character facing. This will allow me to space myself and know exactly where the trap will end up at. This will allow me to have more control on the combat, compare to the trap being randomly placed on the battlefield.
