All guides are garbage because they do not address key problems

copied what? I copied a video by killing the exact monsters that the video did? what kind of delusional crap is this? I went orb/light as my first build in d2r, why would I need a video to tell me what to do when i have 10 years of experience playing classic d2? Is it that hard to know to add points into frozen orb and its 1 synergy? is it that hard to know to add the majority of your stat points into vita? is it that hard to know how to swap out weaker items for better ones that you find? wtf… stanner do you have any learning disabilities?

people like stanner are why d3 got rid of adding stats + skills. it is just too difficult for some folks.

Your post is complaining that the videos didn’t tell you what buttons to press for Amazon well enough to figure it out.

So write the ultimate Amazon guide and I will personally test it for you.

You clearly didn’t read anything and just came in to reply with nonsense and this is proven because Your reply has absolutely zero to do with anything I brought up in this topic.

Your reply is just an excuse for you to come in and troll.

Same goes for this meatstick I’m quoting…didn’t bother reading anything and just posted a nonsense reply.

Nope not even close to what I a posted about.

Guides are all hot garbage because they didn’t tell me how to overcome these two issues.

Please enlighten how that isn’t the TLDR.

Fine the guides suck. Ok? Blizzard didn’t write them, you didn’t pay for them. How do you plan on addressing the issue of lack of free player provided guidance?

Your reply proves you didn’t bother reading it. So I’m going to correct your reply to reflect what the post actually says, instead of what you just made up and reworded to change what it points out.

All guides are garbage because THEY NEVER go over 2 major issues that matter to everyone when playing.

The correction is something you don’t grasp a simple concept on because you buy all your gear and get boosted in order to be able to use it which explains why you’re clueless when it comes to the actual playing of the game. You also have zero clue on what a proper guide is.

You people crack me up with the constantly trying to change an actual problem into something personal.

What kind of character are you talking about? An amazon?

welcome to RPG Guides where they tend to FOCUS PURELY on UBER Early game jack squat your super noob or UBER LATE GAME WITH GEAR!
this isnt unique to just D2 mind you it happens in almost all RPGS

CRPG Example -
Pathfinder Kingmaker - Slayer prob most under-rated class but peeps to focus on it having less Sneak attack damage then the rogue / alc, Even though it more then makes up for it with higher BaB (So it hits more often, gets feats quicker, gets more attacks so on so forth) as well as all the other benefits it gets over them (Higher HD, Better saves so on so forth)
All coz peeps focus to much on the SA Die and ignore eveything eles

Dark Souls ? - Yeah eveyone only focus on the PvP Builds for the most part or only @ SL 125 for DS3 or SL 120 for DS 1/2 and what knock they dont think of just trying to get though the game PvE Teaching you the game mech then talking about PvP which is where peeps mostly want the info on.

FAR To many f-in guides ignore the middle for the most part and only focus on the purely End Game … and even then.

Well you goaded me into to let me write the guide for you:

1-10 in 45 ish minutes (not 3 hours), fully self found, no help from stash or other players.

Use your base javalin…stab things with it. Yes I said stab, not throw…wait to throw until you picked up some gold. Do not deplete your Javlin to 1, repairing it is much cheaper.

Buy some STA potions ones you can because the game sucks before you can make stealth.

Don’t forget your waypoints, because running back and not being able to kill mobs sucks…and STA sucks.

Put some points in STR/VIT/ENG, none of the skills before 6 matter, 6-10 poison javelin.

There you go.

How about spend some less time claiming people can’t read your post and actually read peoples advice.

Now call me a liar, my level 10 Amazon doesn’t care. But thank you for making me get one to 10 just to prove it’s not hard.

@Sikkun
You ignored what this topic was and went ahead and did the exact opposite just so you could post a reply to spite me.

I also never asked for a guide so you wasted your time. You like half the other people replying, don’t even know what you’re even replying to.

This topic had 2 purposes:

  1. To warn new players who wanted to use an amazon not to follow any guides for the reasons I specified.
  2. To expose players who buy gear and get boosted. Those players give themselves away by their replies.

They literally have no concept about the issues I pointed out are actual problems in guides. To those people, playing the game doesn’t matter, so they of course ignore it and act like it’s no big deal and no one should be complaining about it.

Well given that your claims are based on lies and your estimate of how it’s impossible to get to 8 and later 10 by following them is factually incorrect and off my multiple factors.

So new players would be better off following max rolls Amazon leveling guide than your post.

Your welcome new players.

Go make some better guides then, majority of us are bored of these posts and I’ll admit I read the bold sentence only before making this post. You specifically have rubbed so many the wrong way nothing you post will actually be read without bias. :v:

normally i’d agree but he’s actually got a point. the guides ARE written like you have a packed stash full of high runes, socketed bases, and a couple tabs of uniques with perfectly rolled stats.

i’ve never seen a single guide talk about the mana problems for playing through normal mode. it’s not as bad for something like a pally or barbarian or assassin, because they’re increasing their non-skill melee damage as they go, and they aren’t dead in the water when they run out of mana. as a sorceress, if you run out of mana your options are “teleport back to town and buy potions” or “die” until you get to level 27 and can equip an insight polearm or staff.

All the current guides say to use throw weapons and to throw them and use skills that eat your mana and as such causes a massive problem because it prevents people from leveling.
The guides all say use a throwing weapon while never mentioning you will miss 90% of the attacks when throwing, and will need tons and tons of mana pots.

That is all 100% fact which can be verified by looking at any guide all main stream people point to.

You saying me pointing that out is a lie is a lie in itself and spreading misinformation.

Furthermore you ignored this is a problem with throwing weapons and skills that eat mana and went ahead and used a completely different attack then tried saying call you a liar…

Maybe your problem isn’t the guides. Maybe you need new glasses and might get caught up on your sleep.

I getting ready to play a zon and in the beginning I get close to the monsters I am going to kill.

And if it is a bow zon you are talking about there is a skill or two that the arrows don’t miss.

If you don’t like the guides than don’t use them. Y ou kill a monster you get exp it is simple as that. If you are missing the monster stand closer.

But some people prefer the problems in life rather than on the solutions.

Good luck

Because they don’t miss 90% of the time. And paying the 1g to repair your javelin would be even faster than stabbing it. But you can literally just stab it and beat the “impossible 3 hour” mark.

You’re talking out of your A$$, you canont use any of the skills you’re talking about UNITL AFTER you reach very specific levels and thsi topic is about BEFORE anything you’re trying to reply with.

They do miss.

I want to see you go out into the game with a fresh level 1, no help from any stashed items, and throw you beginning weapon at an enmey in blood moor and let me know how many throws you have to use before you actually can hit an enemy then do the same but use a bow and let me see how many times it takes before you can actually kill an enemy by shooting it and constantly running out of mana

This will continue happening throughout level 5 and up to level 12…your attacks constantly miss.

he doesn’t have a point. most guides are written in the mindset of PvP, not even for PvE. And they were written during classic d2 heyday where everyone and their grandma owned several enigmas on non ladder.

apparently you and stanner need leveling guides, guides that teach you how to level up and collect items…smh. for the rest of us the steps have always been very obvious, we don’t need a guide to tell you which order of spells to max out and to collect trash items and slowly upgrade them with better items that you find. that is what stanner is crying about.

so go write them guides Eithris & Stanner, we would all love to know how to level up an amazon in a couple months when we’ll all have 20 characters beyond level 90 at that point so yeah will really come in handy… /sarcasm…

1 throw.

First monster was 1 shot.

Wait now the second was.

WRONG 100% wrong the guides I’m talking about all the current streamers and guides that outright make DIABLO II RESURRECTED content

So quit trying to make excuses for badly written out guides.

ok sorry you need a guide to show you how to level up an amazon on your own. life is tough.
