Thanks for ruining the game for me Blizz. Instead of fixing and upgrading their crappy servers, of fixing mosaic crashing people’s games, of fixing the blinding mosaic effects, of fixing the stashes size, of adding a loot filter, of giving us new runewords, Blizzard decided that the infinite gold exploit was crashing their servers. I’m tired of Blizzard and their BS, I’m slowly losing faith and interest in D2R.
So what about the christmas day bonus when vendor prices were markedly reduced? Are they getting rid of this day for future events?

That was really sad to watch again. The guy loved diablo 2, and him leaving blizzard was a massive loss for the d2 community.
I’ve been a d2r fan for long enough to know better, but I’d be lying if I said this didn’t give me just a shred of optimism.

This is the case with every single ARPG and MMO. Doesn’t change your gameplay either way.
All of the broken, annoying, exploited things in this game, and they chose to patch a tedious gold grinding trick. Insane priorities, really. It’s no wonder a weirdo like the OP is celebrating. Meanwhile the entire public games list is populated with RMT website names.
is this a fix for “grinding” suffix? ok, i guess… it’s so stupidly tedious i don’t know why would anyone bother tbh. I would love to hear how it caused instability. Maybe people were spawning huge gold piles with it or smth?
just checked, the fix is not selling it for correct price… it just says “i cannot complete this request” when trying to sell it.
Also was there a client update? or is this just a back end fix?
run a script and the town floor will be covered in gold in no time.
I think someone on this forum claimed people were crashing games using this bug. Looks like it might be true if they were willing to hot fix it randomly.
They should have banned the people running scripts instead TBH. That is basically the same as botting, since they use 3rd party tools. Especially if it was used to crash people’s game/servers. Making it so you cannot sell the item when equipped is not really a “fix” either way lol

All it takes is one person to publicly announce they are actively using said exploit, posting the items for sale, entering someone’s market space and wallah, hotfix. If you think this fixed the servers instability, you’re wrong - still connection errors. Bro fixed this to get everyone out of his market.
Btw, it’s server side packet block, there’s a work around.

If you would seriously spend your time and dedication with grinding instead of letting your cursor do the work and trying to get a mal for it, you probs would have found items that are worth the runes you need.
