2.4. New area 85 levels - what does it mean for us

Quit your whining, every post is the same.
Immunities serve a purpose, and shouldn’t be broken.
The fact that lightning does is stupid.
Go play PD2 or whatever dumb mod you like.

Feel free to block me or don’t read my posts. I’m playing PD2 as we speak

I know you are, you advertise is constantly.
Why would I block you, I need some entertainment.

How do I advertise it constantly when I’ve just mentioned it in regards to 2.4? Lolz. Continue to enjoy your lightning+hdin meta. Probably have like 5 posts mentioning its.

I don’t play either.
Mostly cause I just enjoy non meta.
I don’t need Enigma, and I like to go through content.
Also, not concerned what everyone else does.
I don’t need to break immuniites inn Hell to beat it.
Most of the time I dual spec, and works fine.

Honestly, I would like to see all of act 5 as level 85 in hell difficulty. It is the end, after all.

So you mentioned 5 areas where melee character use would be advised. May I ask why?
Unless a monster spawns with magic AND physical immunities at the same time, I believe melee toons could farm these areas?

Now I’m not saying every melee build should run the areas you advised against, but if you take the take and make sure your resistances are maxed (with at least a +150% bonus on top) and have both a physical as well as magic attack abilities, melee builds can run these areas. My HC barb has almost zero issues running anywhere as long as I play smartly.

Anyway, not trying to argue. Just offering an opinion.

I didnt mean difficulty of monsters - I mostly meant that I dont like the fact that are through which you have to go to progress is now lvl 85 and relatively early. Thi is the part I am not fun of:

Some of these locations have monsters with high physical immunity, some with full immunity, or they have dolls or other problematic monsters for melee characters.

Act2 sewers must be a tc 85 zone. I hope a dev read this.

Idk, i am generaly not happy with having locations with quests to have such high area level. Definitely not act 1 and 2 because you can be there on lower levels and you will struggle against high level monsters more.

Agree, maybe Nihlatak and Worldstone Keep + Baal can stay at lv 85, since they’re late game (and Nihlatak isn’t a mandatory quest).

Does it not spawn beetles sometimes in these temples?

Only the other 3 temples which already are 85.

Why not just have a toggle to make Hell entirely 85? Toggle off would just be how it is currently.

So true… I would do them every once in a while for a change of pace, and because it was right there, but never, ever, got anything from them. Add Icy Cellar & Drifter Cavern to that list, as well… never got nothin’ from those golden chests.

Because the game is set up to have a progression through the acts. Not just based on mob lvl, but mob type. All mobs at lvl 85 are not equal.

In addition, I think that concept is, kind of, D3 logic. Focusing mostly on mob lvl instead of mob type and density.

I think they have to really be careful in selecting what mobs can drop 85+ loot in this game, and that’s what they’ve done here. None of these new areas are ‘easy farm’ spots. Some of these new lvl 85 areas might even pose some of the greatest challenges. But the last thing they wanted to do was add ‘easy’ farming spots that actually narrow down the places people farm. If all that make sense.

I agree with you Malpka. The newly updated lvl 85 zones should be in areas that you don’t need to go in, but you do for that bonus of possibly finding the better loot. That’s the point of it, right?

ok, to clarify. The toggle would only become available after beating hell…and it would be optional.

This is a terrible place to farm. Also isn’t level 3 mostly empty? I haven’t played much of ptr yet. I am reinstalling game right now and then ptr next.
