Whether it’s perceived as a letdown or not, it’s progression. It’s a step in the right direction. The upcoming PTR is going to be putting database changes to the test.
One step at a time, we’ll get there. While steps might seem tiny to us end users, the work for those baby steps under the hood may have been gigantic.
Once the game/battle.net platform is smoothed over, then the more juicy feature updates we’re waiting on will step up in frequency.

I still don’t get why people are so opposed to an evolution of the game. I’ve mentioned this before but there WERE other metas throughout the history of D2 patches. It had longevity from constantly evolving. There are some obvious things that don’t belong cough ploot, but balance changes in PD2 were quite fun. It’s weird how everyone wants to play a hammerdin/sorc forever.
There will be more updates. I wish people wouldn’t react to this update as if it’s going to be the only one. They can’t include the whole universe in a single patch.

There is also quick cast and force walk. Which is a pretty big deal. And ptr is coming so they obv did put some work into the game. Its more than d2 had in many years

I will continue to have fun playing this and did just buy the PS5 version for 25% off which is about what I think the worth for the game is ($30)

Even with the timers, I’m still elated that we don’t have to deal with the 20 games/hour bs limitation anymore. Plus I can play at work on lunch breaks with the business connection without being BANNED for 2 weeks.

Can’t disagree with this. The game, right now, is a slightly different (and debatable better or worse) Grim Dawn. I like SSF and my small group I play with but both due to lobby filters and general lobby issues the game’s social aspect seems dead.
So I do agree this needs to be addressed over everything else - even some lingering problems like WP loading.

This. Let’s face it, as scuffed as its current state is, Path of Exile is way better than D2R in terms of QOL because of all the non-official but allowed 3rd-party tools and API available. This complete lack of loot filtering and the official stance that any custom filtering can get your account banned is bs.
We know that is the case because the amount of games in the lobby has dropped off.
I generally consider the use of any external tools to be cheating. It’s okay if it’s offline and thus only affects you but in an online setting, using tools harms people that don’t want to use tools.
Yea chat window is annoying, especially if you host games like Baal runs and try to tele to throne. ~1/4 of your screen gets taken up by unclickable teleport space.
From a coding standpoint they are really doing the minimal possible. Hard to deny the game is old and has bugs/inefficient coding, but the speed of updates feels like Blizz is run by a team of overpriced junior developers
jsp actually has a forum that you must be invited to by the higher ups. and you can trade fg for real world items, and money.
. This update will also be accompanied by many bug fixes and other improvements, which will be detailed upon release of the patch.
You understand that all FG came from people buying it from D2JSP and people will buy FG for money… you a simpleton
You typed the word “fact.”

There are some people that will buy your FG, at a reduced price ofc.
why always pissing vinegar and focussing on what is “wrong”? I just love this game. Look at wat the patch brings us. It’s a huge step. Blizzard really listens to the community. Of course there are more wishes, but with a little patience this game will be better with every patch.
