Hello, I’ve experienced a rather unpleasant situation regarding the ban issue. On Friday morning, I discovered that my account had been banned for one week; I only received an automated message stating that I had been reported by a group of players for using inappropriate communication, something that surprised me because I hardly chat with anyone outside my trusted circle—I only greet and say thank you when I join a group of pugs to run mythic + keys. I have submitted two tickets and haven’t received any response; I don’t know if the moderators haven’t seen my appeals, if they’re investigating the incident, or if they’ve simply ignored them, as I haven’t received any feedback. The thing is, I have a theory that I was massively reported by several players or bots for having completed a mythic + out of time, since the only thing I did the night before the ban was farming several mythic + keys to get equipment. Years ago, I received a ban like this where I was shown the chat logs and conversations that violated the rules, and I do acknowledge that I was at fault by using humor that might have offended someone. But this recent ban is completely different, as I don’t know what I could have done or said, since I wasn’t given a clear explanation—I only received a generic message and my inquiry hasn’t been addressed by any GM. It’s a frustrating situation because I’m losing money from the monthly subscription, and I also believe that this banning bot seems to deliberately act if you’ve been reported. I would appreciate your help in better understanding how this works and whether it’s normal that four days have passed and I still haven’t received any response to my appeals. Thank you.
You can try posting in the WoW Customer Support Forum to see if there is an SFA around to shed light on this.
Understand that they can see everything and have been known to publicly answer these kinds of questions with the actual, nitty-gritty details of the violation.
