Worst Customer Support in History

I will now show you the “conversation” i’ve been having with blizzard support for the past 3 days. All i wanted is to change my battle net region to europe, since for some reason it changed alone to americas, and now i cant access starcraft remastered.
This has been the worst customer support i have ever seen. I wish i could do a formal complaint.
I understand that these are most likely bots answering my tickets but how can this be so bad? I still have my issue unresolved.

Game Master Joshask has arrived for assistance ⊂(◉‿◉)つ Hey Diogo! I hope that your day is going well despite having this issue. After checking, I can confirm your battle.net account region is set to Europe. Once you create your Battle.net account, it is not possible to change the region that you chose. You can choose to play in a different region than the one in your Battle.net account. Please check our Selecting a Social Region and Play Region support article for details. I do sincerely appreciate you for supporting us and that does really mean a lot. If you ever run into anything else at all in the future, don’t hesitate to contact us. Why does it appear connected to Americas under my username and why did i lose access to starcraft remastered then? When i click on that globe option in individual games, the region is set to europe. But under my user it is set to americas. I sent a screensot here so you can verify what im saying.

Pibomojy

Warm Greetings Diogo, Thank you for taking the time of your day to contact Blizzard Entertainment. This is Game Master Pibomojy. I can see that you are facing an issue with your Starcraft 2 EU account. Ok, Diogo let’s shed some light on this. I’ve dived deep into your account and I can recommend some steps you didn’t try yet and hopefully will resolve your issue: The only way to change accounts is to change the login on the Battle.net App, so you’d need to exit the game, then log out in the App, login within the account you wish to use then click play. If looking to change the region you do this in the App as well by using the “Regions” menu above play, it’s the Globe symbol. So you can change the region to Europe and you will have access to your EU account easily, if you still can’t access the account, kindly reply to us again. You may review, respond to, or close your ticket here: I hope my help has been to your liking. If this resolves your ticket, please choose “Mark as Resolved” above, and if you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to respond back! (^▽^)ゞ I hope my answer was crystal clear for you. It’s important to note that we are available to you at all times; please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Always remember: We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing. We hope you have a great rest of your day, Diogo! Best regards, GM Pibomojy ▬▬ι═══════ﺤ

You continue to not understand my problem. I am sending you two screenshots. Please take a look at them before responding. The problem is not that the game is on the wrong region. Its actually the account that is in the americas region when it should be in europe. I know i can set the region for each game individually to europe. But that does not solve the problem that my account continues to be connected to americas. And therefore, i dont have access to Starcraft Remastered, even tough you can see i have the game in my account. Please take a look at the screenshots i am sending you atached here. As you can clearly see, bellow my username “DIogoKh” It clearly says “Connected to: Americas” But it should say Europe. If there was an easier way for me to change this i would have already done so. To make it absolutely clear, i want to change the battle.net account region to Europe, not Americas.

Sollinel

Hi there Diogo! This is Game Master Sollinel, and today I’ll be reviewing your case. I completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially when you’re trying to enjoy games like StarCraft Remastered, and it feels like something out of your control is limiting access. To clarify the situation, once you’ve created your Battle.net account, the region selected at the time of account creation cannot be changed. This is a policy to ensure proper account management across the global infrastructure. However, rest assured that the region setting won’t affect your ability to access or play the games that are linked to your account. While you may be in the Americas region, this will not block you from playing StarCraft Remastered or other games you own, even if you’re in Europe or prefer to be on a European server. The server you choose to play on is separate from your account region, and it’s perfectly fine to play in a different region. Doing so doesn’t impact your game features, access to content, or even purchases. Essentially, you can play on European servers without losing access to your games, or facing issues with in-game features. That said, I do understand this situation can be a little confusing, and I truly empathize with the inconvenience this brings. While I know you’d prefer your account region to be updated to match your location or preferences, the good news is that you can still fully enjoy the games you’ve purchased. Please let me know if you have any further questions or if there’s anything else I can assist with! We’re here to help you enjoy your games to the fullest. Game Master Sollinel :cloud:‧₊˚

This does not help me at all since i continue to not have access to starcraft remastered. A game wich i already own on my account. And when i made i made this account, it was set to europe. So it is clearly possible to change it, since it changed from europe to americas. This has been incredibly frustrating since it seems such an easy problem to fix yet you wont fix it. In your support page in the battle net site. There is a place when you can change the region from the battle net account, and you ask for a proof of residency, wich i have given to you. To prove i am indeed in europe. Why cant you just change the region? And if you cant change the region what are you going to do about me having lost acces to a game that i already own? In my account overview you can clearly see i own the game. I have sent another screenshot to prove this to you. How can you tell me i can still enjoy the games i have purchased when i clearly dont have access to one such game is unbelieveble.

Adwarmor

Greetings, Diogo. Thank you for contacting Blizzard, I hope your day is going well and I’m Game Master Adwarmor. I’ve just read through your ticket and I can understand how frustrating it can be to be connected the wrong region and it has not changed. I’ve had a fair share of being confused when it comes to the Battle.net’s region as sometimes I’ve been connected to the wrong region. From reading your case, I do understand that you that you have your account’s region already set to Europe. However, you see that you are connecto Americas from Battle.Net. So, in this case where it says “Connected to: Americas” does not actually affect your gameplayer or anything else like that as it only serves to give you the best connection for the games for you to have a smooth experience. If you want to play Starcraft Remastered in the EU Region as you were doing you just need to select the EU option that’s on the Globe that you were clicking on right next to the Starcraft drop down menu. I hope this was helpful for you and you should now be able to enjoy StarCraft once more and If you anymore assistance or you have any questions for us, Remember that we are always here to help you out! Sincerely, GM Adwarmor

Hi,

Perhaps I can help ?

I would normally redirect you to the Starcraft Remastered forums, but if the issue is related to the use of Battle.Net, I might be able to help you.

Would you mind providing the screenshot in a reply here ?

You won’t be able to post a link – only a few people outside Blizzard can. But, if you format your link as preformatted text, you should be able to post it in your reply.

To format a link as preformatted text, do:

  • paste your link in a reply,

  • highlight the entire link you just pasted,

  • click on the </> button on the formatting bar (see screenshot below):

Once you hit the “Reply” button, your link will appear as white text on a greyish background… as in: https://i.imgur.com/S42Ly4y.png

Thank you.

The responses received were correct.

For some reason, you selected the Americas region on the Bnet launcher. That does NOT change the region of your account. Your account was created in the EU region and remains an EU account.

Hopefully future replies to the ticket will be more direct in explaining this.
