Does your Diablo 2 folder come with the glide wrapper (glide3x.dll)? As long as it has that, there shouldn’t be any need to turn on compatibility mode or reduce color mode.

What you do need to do is open the properties of the Diablo 2 shortcut and add “-w -3dfx” to the end of the target line.

It needs to be written out as:
“C:\Diablo II Expansion\Diablo II.exe” -w -3dfx

I try to add that to the target line and it tells me the target box is not valid.

^ You may need to change the above to where the game exe has been saved.
Check to see if it is in this folder:

*C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II*

if it is then, write that in as:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe” -w -3dfx

I believe they would need to install Svens glide wrapper to have the -3dfx switch work. Once you install that, the windowed mode switch (-w) isn’t necessary because the wrapper settings override and control that.
