Primarily forwarding the problem to Activision themselves instead of leaving their customers to do their job. Blizzard does only house the license for the game and its launcher, however they’re acting as the middle man here. It is the BLIZZARD LAUNCHER. They’re the ones that should be in contact with Activision. Not us.
They only serve as a middleman for the payment transaction and server download. It would be like holding Walmart responsible for the durability of socks you bought there. They took money for the socks, and let you retrieve them from their store, but that’s the end of their involvement.
If Wallmart send me mandatory updated sock not my size and don’t let me use the good old ones I’m expecting Wallmart to help fix the problem.
Activision is the company requiring the updates, and developing them.
…or just make an exclusion
In Comodo:
settings:
advanced protection:
miscellaneous:
" dont detect shell code injections in these applications"
-> Add the warzone game folder
(where it is installed).

Hello everybody,
Same problem as you and thousands of other unhappy users.
CoD Warzone worked fine on my PC, then after Season 3 (and also Season 4) update, I cannot run it anymore. When I click the Play button on the Battle.net application, the button briefly says Launching, then says Playing Now, then it returns to Play again.
I’ve tried all of these, unsuccessfully:
- Updating Windows 10
- Updating video card drivers (several times)
- Resetting video card settings for Warzone
- Doing a Scan and Repair of the game from the BattleNet app
- Uninstalling and reinstalling Warzone
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the BattleNet app
- Disabling realtime antivirus protection
- Disabling the firewall
- Uninstalling Cisco WebEx
- Making sure Citrix is not installed
- Rebooting the machine
- Running CoD MW as an administrator
- Changing my DNS
This issue also prevents me from playing Modern Warfare (since it is bundled with Warzone), which is a non-free product I paid for. I am actually considering checking with a lawyer to get a refund.
I have opened a ticket with Blizzard and they redirected me to Activision. I finally managed to open a ticket with Activision with a trick (the link to do so is well hidden) but I have very little hope on it.
The main reason is that it is going to be extremely difficult to troubleshoot the problem without having logs available; I would be expecting Activision Support to ask me to run a diagnostic program for CoD MW/Warzone and send them the debug results. Without any information of this kind, it’s a shot in the dark. It makes users question whether they’re really interested to solve the issue or they’re just pretending to do so while waiting for the customer to give up.
The fact that Activision shut down their support forums also doesn’t help. (Perhaps they did not want customers criticizing their products.) So far this is the only place I have found to talk about this issue.
I will keep you posted if I find a solution, but I have to say I am extremely frustrated by the lack of support from Blizzard/Activision.
EDIT: Solved. Uninstalling (not just disabling!) an older version of Comodo Firewall solved the problem.
Ive been having the same issue since season 3 launch… its been like 5 months since I havent played the game and I feel robbed. I tried reinstalling, starting as admin, turning off sound devices, allowing passed anti virus and firewall, FIX THE GAME ALREADY OR GIVE ME A REFUND
Blizzard doesn’t develop Warzone, so you’re feeding your anger at the wrong company.
It doesn’t work and I have tried many solutions that was provided by the community and sadly none of those works either. It’s an ACTIVISION ISSUE and they need to fix it A.S.A.P for the community
At first mine didnt work opein through battlenet , then tried the modern warfare file run as admin , it worked then crashed midgame … Now I right click the BATTLENET icon , click on compatibility , check where it says RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR click apply then try it it worked for me … I havnt closed to game out to see if it works again … GOODLUCK hopefully thats the fix for some or all
