I keep running into this error message when updating OW2:
Please try again after logging on as an administrator.
I can complete the whole download but get stuck with this error at 99%. I’ve tried every suggested fix for this error and none of them work. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled battle.net and OW2 at least a half dozen times each. Ever since the season 14 update I’ve had this issue. I have no idea what do other than wiping my whole desktop and reinstalling windows. Please help!
OW2 runs fine for me on Steam. I would keep playing there without complaint, however I am not credited my Gamepass skins there. I’m only credited them when I launch in battle.net. If there’s a fix for this then I don’t care if battle.net ever works again.
Solutions I’ve tried:
- Run as admin
- Create a new user admin account
- uninstall and reinstall game
- uninstall and reinstall battle.net
- uninstall and reinstall both battle.net and OW2
- cleared app data for Blizzard and battle.net
- scan and repair game
Literally out of suggested ideas I could find online other than nuking this pc and starting over. Which is pretty ridiculous when all I want is to access gamepass skins
