Hello, i just pre-purchased Warcraft 3 Reforged and claimed and installed the classic Warcraft 3 afterwards but when i start the game from the desktop shortcut, im getting a notification from the launcher itself with “Update complete” and can only choose/proceed with “Repair” or “Launch”. Do i need to click on launch every single time to start the game? The game itself just works fine.
That’s Warcraft III Launcher.exe for you…
I dislike it as well so as a workaround I made a shortcut to this executable instead:
C:\Warcraft III\x86_64\Warcraft III.exe
(Edit: 4 of them in fact; In my start menu, on my desktop, in quick launch, and on my taskbar.)
It opens the game instantly. No launcher nonsense.
And patching continues to work fine through the [Battle net] button in-game. It will tell you if there’s a new version and switch to the Launcher.

Thank you, mate. It’ll definitely help. Is there anything else i need to know? Like i heard they’re command lines to improve performance and so on?
