Hello, i am unable to msg other people in game and I get the msg on the title whenever I try to.
I am on steam, Private Text Chat is set to Everyone,I appear online on [battle.net] app and I also have checked every other reddit post and forum post with this same issue (months,years ago they were posted) and didn’t find a solution to my problem.
From the battle net app i get this error 'There was an error delivering your message to nickname. (7000)
Make sure you’ve tried all the steps here:
My account doesn’t have parental controls, neither i am blocked and my communication settings are set to everybody and i still have this issue.

I have similar problem, have had it for ages, they refuse to look at it and solve…I am too running on Steam…people can whisper me, and I can not whisper back…I have followed every step, I have public profile, chat set to everybody, cross platform enabled…and so on…what is the problem man

I have same problem and it has been so long that i remember. I have buyed game from Steam which i now regret it fully. I have tried all things which has been asked, also contacted GM with no help. I get same 7000 error from app and whispering is not working when playing game (Diablo 4), you can imagine how this is making trading nearly impossible.
Things i have now done:
- Re-installed whole game 3 times
- Re-installed battle.net app 3 times
- Asked to remove parental controls (yes, they are removed)
- Checked ALL settings which could affect with this, tried to turn off/on again with no effect
- Checked also Steam settings with no effect
- etc.
Now this is just a hunch but i buyed years ago Diablo 3 from Blizzard directly so actually i have 2 accounts because when i buyed Diablo 4 from steam, it created(?) another account. This can be problem which has done some weird things, i’m not sure. Problem with this is also that i can’t anymore log in to my “old” account because that account e-mail is old and no in use, same thing with phone number.
So it can be some issue with 2 accounts, bad coding from Blizzard/Steam, i don’t know but at least try to fix this. This is really frustrating.
