I want to write this here because I know you don’t care about eu forums. Blizzard’s decision to remove Turkish Lira pricing and switching back to Euro pricing is not acceptable. It is a significant financial shift that directly impacts players in this region. It is unacceptable to ignore the position of players who have recently bought new wow expansion under the previous pricing model.
If subscription fees or expansion pricing are going to be effectively revalued under a completely different currency system then Blizzard must provide a clear and accessible refund option for Midnight. Players made these purchases based on the expectation of regional pricing. Changing the entire pricing structure shortly afterward without offering any form of compensation or refund flexibility is unfair. This is not simply a pricing update it is a fundamental change in market conditions for an entire player base.
If this pricing change is combined with the current quality of updates then I honestly see no reason to continue supporting this game. I will not be purchasing the next expansion nor will maintain my subscription. We have no turkish language ingame, we don’t have our own tuskish servers, we dont have proper customer service.
At this point it simply stops being worth. I will not pay double price for poorer service..
EDIT:
Before anyone brings up inflation as an excuse. Turkish Lira support was introduced in 2023 during a period when inflation and currency instability were significantly worse than they are now.
If Blizzard was able to operate with regional pricing under those conditions then removing it now cannot be reasonably justified by inflation alone.
If the issue is pricing sustainability then prices could have simply been adjusted. This is something that has already been done multiple times. Switching back to Euro pricing is a completely different decision.
So the real question is: if this model was viable during a more unstable economic period, why introduce it in the first place only to remove it a few years later?
