Hello ,
I am developing a World of Warcraft TBC Classic Anniversary market analysis tool that may be released publicly in the future.
The tool is intended to use official Blizzard Game Data APIs only for read-only auction market data. It does not require a player's Battle.net password, does not automate in-game purchases or sales, and does not modify Blizzard game files.
I created a Battle.net Developer API client and OAuth client_credentials authentication works correctly.
I am trying to access Auction House data for the EU TBC Anniversary realm Thunderstrike.
I attempted to discover the connected realm ID for Thunderstrike through the World of Warcraft Game Data API, but Thunderstrike does not appear in the connected realm indexes I tested.
Tested region:
- eu
Tested realm:
- thunderstrike
Tested namespaces:
- dynamic-eu
- dynamic-classic-eu
- dynamic-classic1x-eu
- dynamic-classic2x-eu
- dynamic-classic3x-eu
Observed behavior:
- OAuth token request succeeds.
- Some connected-realm indexes return data.
- The returned indexes include realms such as Khadgar, Maladath, Earthshaker, Razorfen, Firemaw, Gehennas, Golemagg, and others.
- Thunderstrike is not listed in the indexes I tested.
- Because of that, I cannot obtain a connectedRealmId for Thunderstrike and cannot test the connected-realm auctions endpoint for that realm.
Could you please confirm:
1. Are TBC Classic Anniversary realms available through the World of Warcraft Game Data API?
2. What namespace should be used for TBC Classic Anniversary realms?
3. Is EU Thunderstrike available through the API?
4. If yes, what is the connectedRealmId for EU Thunderstrike?
5. Is the connected-realm auctions endpoint available for TBC Classic Anniversary realms?
6. If this data is not available through the public API, is there an official recommended way for addon/desktop tools to access TBC Anniversary auction data while staying compliant with Blizzard rules?
Thank you.
Regards,
Shadowstorm
Update:
I was able to discover the correct Anniversary namespace and connected realm.
Region:
- eu
Realm:
- thunderstrike
Namespace:
- dynamic-classicann-eu
Connected Realm ID:
- 6409
The connected realm endpoint works.
The Auction House index endpoint also works:
GET /data/wow/connected-realm/6409/auctions/
namespace=dynamic-classicann-eu
locale=en_GB
This returns the Auction House index:
- id 2: Alliance Auction House
- id 6: Horde Auction House
- id 7: Blackwater Auction House
However, the actual Auction House detail endpoints all return 404:
GET /data/wow/connected-realm/6409/auctions/2
namespace=dynamic-classicann-eu
locale=en_GB
GET /data/wow/connected-realm/6409/auctions/6
namespace=dynamic-classicann-eu
locale=en_GB
GET /data/wow/connected-realm/6409/auctions/7
namespace=dynamic-classicann-eu
locale=en_GB
All three return:
{
“code”: 404,
“type”: “BLZWEBAPI00000404”,
“detail”: “Not Found”
}
So the current state appears to be:
- Connected Realm endpoint: works
- Auction House index endpoint: works
- Auction House detail endpoints for Alliance/Horde/Blackwater: 404
- OAuth/authentication: works
- No 401/403 authentication issue
Could Blizzard please confirm whether Auction House detail data is currently supported for TBC Classic Anniversary realms?
If it is supported, is there a different endpoint or namespace required for the actual item auction data?
If it is not currently supported, is support planned for TBC Classic Anniversary Auction House detail data?
