I am exploring a community/social networking service for Overwatch players where access to certain communities can be limited to players with a verified competitive rank.
I plan to use Battle.net OAuth for account authentication. However, I understand that the current OAuth user information does not provide an official way to retrieve or verify an authenticated user’s Overwatch competitive rank.
With the player’s explicit consent, the application would only need read-only access to:

An identifier linking the authenticated Battle.net account to its Overwatch profile

Platform (PC or console)

Current competitive season
-
Current rank for each role or competitive queue

The time when the rank data was last updated
The application would not collect Battle.net passwords or browser cookies, and I would prefer not to scrape the public career-profile website. Data would be stored only as necessary for verification and removed when the user disconnects their Battle.net account.

Is there an existing API, OAuth scope, private beta, or partner program that supports this use case?

Is there an approved method to associate a Battle.net OAuth user with their Overwatch career profile?

Is there a permitted way for a third-party application to verify a consenting user’s current competitive rank without scraping?
