When i was trying out the new cross-play for OW, i got my friends on ps4 to join me (I am on PC). When I sent them a battle.net friend request they could accept it, but i couldn’t invite them. I found a solution to this problem but its not efficient. You can invite them to group if they are not on your friends list. If a player is on pc then you can invite them through the friends list.
To Summarize what was stated above: You can not invite cross-play players to your group from your friends list. Only if they are not on your friends list.
