I don’t mind moving the links like shop, patch notes and forums to a corner with the option to hide texts.
But why hide the game version number and make users click two more times (options gear icon → game version) to see it?
It was prefectly fine and convenient to see when it’s right under the play button.

Not to mention now you also need a third click to close this game version dialog.
Totally agree it was fine where it was. No reason to remove or hide what was not causing any problems.
Also, while we’re here, please also do NOT remove the version/build number from the bottom left in the WoW login screen.

Please Blizzard add the game version info back to below the “Play” button, ain’t nobody going to click 2 times to see the game version
The “Play” button wasn’t even moved downwards to look more aesthetical, it looks so out of place now

Yeah I really hate this too. It makes it harder to troubleshoot problems and report bugs.

I just noticed something worse.
When there is an update (and you haven’t updated it yet), the “Game Version” in the menu is greyed out and cannot be used.
That means you cannot see what version you currently have before you update.
Why remove the version number in the first place?
At least make a setting then to switch it back as it was before if some one had problems with it showing.

It’s back!
Thanks to whoever at Blizzard who has decided to put it back.
