There is a recovery process. It requires a photo id with most info blocked and they will remove the authenticator. they did mine in less than 24 hours.

same sh*t with my phone. I enter my phone number to the account; got the code and entered it and it says another account has my number (i changed phone numbers in october). after waiting 24 hours, they tell me to get in touch with live chat - ā¦ THERE IS NO LIVE CHAT

Doesnt work, bought mw, started the game, went to customize weapons, game froze, cant cntrl alt delete out, have to restart pc, try to log back into game, get error code to verify, click quit and verify, taken to blizzard site, says send code to phone number, problem being i no longer have access to the old number, no email verification or app verification options. Go to activision site, change number there, retry, same crap. Yeah but call of duty vanguard works fine though its only modern warfare. Contact customer support and its been over 15 hours with no word after i paid for the product i expect to use.
This happened to me like we paid for the game we should be able to play it the company is a joke its just scaming people out off there moneythey dont care about the customer they care about the money
This issue is still a problem. I apparently never updated my account to my new number last year. Now I have a new phone as well. I couldnāt log into the app or set up the authenticator on my new phone. I canāt change the phone number without the authenticator. I canāt log into the authenticator without receiving a text to my old number.
Itās not possible to do either without the other and when I temporarily removed the authenticator from my account, receiving texts to my old number is the only option offered. Unlike every other authenticator out there, thereās no option for email.
Guys I have the fixā¦ when you finally have updated your battle.net numberā¦ (do this by enabling 2FA on your battle.net account and downloading battle.net app on your phone for the Authenticatorā¦ this gives you the option when changing your number to authenticate with app instead of texting old numberā¦) After your number is updatedā¦ sign out of the battle.net app on your pcā¦ (the launcher for cod) then sign back inā¦ this time cod should send the auth request to your new number on your battle.net account
Still canāt update phone on account. Authenticator never gets a code for me to enter. FIX YOUR BROKEN SYSTEM!!!
