Hey, vacaconmoney! There’s been some reported issues where the Blizzard Application crashes due to the AMD Drivers and the crashes found looked just like the crashes we’ve been seeing!

There’s a few steps that may also help:

  • Disable Radeon Chill
  • Disable the Hardware Acceleration:
    1. Right-click on the Battle.net desktop icon and select Properties
    2. Select the Shortcut tab
    3. In the Target field add the following command to the end:
      –disable-gpu
      It will look like so:
      "C:\Program Files (x86)\Battle.net\Battle.net Launcher.exe" --disable-gpu
Note: There is a space between Battle.net Launcher.exe" and --disable-gpu
    4. Click Apply and then OK to close the Properties window
    5. Restart the Battle.net desktop app using this same icon.

We have had one report confirm that rolling back the drivers to something other than 19.12.2 has helped. If it persists, try reverting to the 19.12.1 drivers. The DDU tool can be used to cleanly uninstall the drivers.

A post was split to a new topic: RoffleCat - Battle.net App Crashing Issue

hello I had the same issue and couldn’t start battlenet for 2 weeks+ !!!
tried everything and updated drivers to latest version with no luck.

But doing step 3 solved the problem for me!

In the Target field add the following command to the end:
–disable-gpu
It will look like so:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Battle.net\Battle.net Launcher.exe" --disable-gpu
Note: There is a space between Battle.net Launcher.exe" and --disable-gpu

edit: games have the install button up but I just clicked locate this game (bottom right of bnet) and it found it and updated it
