My kids received notice effective 9/25 hey will no longer have access to Social Settings which includes friends lists. This is how we group up with them. As these settings are changing for under 18, will they still be able to be added to groups?
Good question! I was not even aware that there was a change to the social setting policy for minors. I don’t work there though so they don’t tell me much!
EDIT - updating this because I asked some questions. I think this is pretty much what the email says.
The DEFAULT social settings will be changing to better protect minors. So those things will be toggled off.
They can be enabled again in the account settings, and/or in the Parental Controls. So you should still be able to use the friends features to group, communicate, etc.
doesn’t seem to matter what I toggle on parental controls, it still wont’ give him access to friends list or chats.
